    I get the horrid sleepless thing all the time now....and I have to say ....when I was gym bunny...all those years ago ....my sleep was terrible....best sleep I ever had was when I was overseas...doing what I wanted to do......in a relaxed hippy kind of way....and exhausting myself with adventures every day....Ah the good old days.....
    If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

                  Roight....Finally got to bloody sleep last night. Bugger this heat honestly.

                    Can I spoil the fun and ask for some help?

                    I'm seriously struggling with guilt about my drunken antics. Short of apologising to LOADS of people and explaining my problems, what can I do?

                    My niece is getting married in the UK next year and has already invited us. But there will be a family friend there who I pratically propositioned even though I knew he was happliy married. Goodness knows what he thinks of me. That sorry event was about 8 years ago and I haven't seen him since. As you can see, this "worry" is spreading out across 10 years. And that's just one worry - there are so many more.

                    All I can think of doing is resorting to "actions speak louder than words" by going to events, not drinking and behaving myself.

                    I have sought counselling once and I have spoken to my Doctor about depression. But as soon as I see the counsellor, my rational side comes out and I make out that I am in complete control.

                    Anyway, off for a run now. I think I need some endorphins.

                        Hi Spam,

                        I honestly think that this guy will have forgotten that incident by now.. and probably realised you were drunk at the time.. he was even possibly flattered, and I'm sure he will have forgiven you by now.. you poor thing, punishing yourself over this all this time! Honestly, men do that kind of thing all the time, drunk or not!

                        If you feel the need to apologise, then do so - but it was so long ago, I believe the best thing to do, like you said, is forget it ever happened, don't drink and be on your best behaviour at the wedding! Then even if he does remember, he will not look at you in any negative light, when he see's how far you have come.

                        We have all done stupid things we regret when drunk; god knows I have! We have to be easier on ourselves! I am trying to come to terms with what I have done.. but know the only way I can even begin to forgive myelf, is to prove to myself (and lastly, others), that I am not the same person - and I can only do that if I remain AF..

                            Feeling a bit better already. Have just got back from my run - definately pushed myself today.

                            KB - Hope you can hang around here. We are all on the same timezone (ish). It's good fun. I sometimes get surpised at the things that happen on here without AL being involved!

                            By the way, Friday night is bath / shower night. Last week was at Brigdet's. Not sure where we are this week. :H

                                Spam.. i'm hanging out here right now! what part of oz are you in? east, west or in the middle?
                                I'm on here a fair bit.. just lurking mostly (though I am supposed to be working - I work from home and my son is in childcare x 2 days a week); though il throw in a post if i feel i can help someone, or have something to add..
                                2 weeks now without AL!! feels great.. I just hope i don't slip up and go back to my old ways - as il be sure to do something stupid if i do.. I certainly can't live with any more remorse.. that bucket is already overflowing!
