Morning all...I listened to some speeches by the communities in VIC yesterday, very sad.
It's been raining since Friday night here - amazing, on & off all day & night.
Cowgal - so good to see you here & glad you're on the mend. For me, you can use this experience to learn about yourself & try never to get to that place again :l
Bridge - I'm very glad you're having all these adult 'scursions...AND think about all the money you're saving!!

Great you're out and about Bridge. Thank's for the warning! Was reflecting on how fab and wild and free sober life is, amongst other thing's, on the w/kend. It's huge! I can do anything i want in this world, and go anywhere, anytime. In the earlier af day's, it's really only those couple of hours at a social event, or our old 'witching hour' that we need to get through, then she's apples! Easy eh?.............;-)

Wow....everyone must of had a very busy day today....its been very quite here....
Well not much to report....I have just been pottering about the house as yesterday was a very tireing day but my boys did well at the carnival.
Im hoping to do some weeding tomorrow in the garden....its starting to look like a jungle.....again!!!!!

Yep, I'm getting into my own jungle today too Ronnie. I'm going to lose the dog in it for good if I don't.
Reminds me of the story of an old neighbour of ours. He was a HUGE pisshead. His place was always over run, metre high grass and what have you. Then one Saturday afternoon he'd get on the turps, and decide that it needed to be 'addressed urgently'. So he'd chuck a bit of petrol or accelerant around, flick his durrie end onto it, and set the whole thing ablaze.
We used to run inside screaming 'MUM! Old Jim's mowing again'
Chickens flying everywhere, he took out an entire fence one time.
Then the firey's would turn up, give him the chat, ambulance....yep he's definitely pissed.....
It was fecking hilarious.....
Ah well...enough of reminiscence.....on into the day. I'm already late.

Bridge - I'm pretty sure the scene you describe re Old Jim's mowing was used in a great movie called The World's Fastest Indian.

I think I'm winning my jungle war and stoked that the sunflowers have now passed the 2m mark. Can't wait to see how big their heads get. Spent the morning dislodging a roll of ring-lock fence which was totally hidden under 10 years worth of rye grass. Took forever but I finally liberated it and dragged it out with the trusty ute. Then had a change of activity and cleaned out gutters. Now have clean gutter and a bad case of ladder legs. Too hot to be outside now so I thought I'd come in and bore youse lot with the 1:30 Rural Report.

Spam - saw your thread re Couch to 5K and vaguely remembered something about it so to refresh my memory I googled. Kind of ironic - I mistyped and found myself looking at Cough to 5K. That'd be me. I can walk all day but have absolutely NO lung capacity. Think smoking might have something to do wth that?

Reggie - how are the renos going? Isn't it about time you resurrected the greek theme?

Sunflowers are weeds.

Hubby has been putting them on my "table" the last few months and I expect they will show their flowery heads in the spring.

It always amazes me how certain things in our lives are "always there."

Hi Bridge,

Doing the gym thing as well. I'm going to try running soon.

Made a big mistake today - didn't have brekkie before my 2k walk. I got back and was so exhausted (still suffering from yesterday's gym session) that I slept for over 2 hours.

Not happy to say the least. I lost enough days recovering from hangovers.

Lesson learned. I am going to take the day off from training tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.
