    Army Thread 3rd JFev 2010

I rang a smoking cessation therapy person last year, who turned out to be the pharmacist I've been going to for longer than I care to remember. We had a bit of a chat and she said that I wasn't ready.

Sounds right to me. No matter how expensive cigarettes get, if you want to smoke you'll keep doing it and if you want to quit, you will... one way or the other.. when the time is right. Off to walk the dogger...

          Hi and Bye KT,

          Kitchen duty calls.

          Patches, Zeppie.

When me and Mr JC went to Portugal a couple of years ago, there was a bloke who covered himself with at least 6 nicotine patches before we boarded. Surprised he needed a plane.

You dare, indeed. Things are fine in Stirly-World :earth:. A bit cool right now. Just back from walking the pooch and darn near froze me noze off.. Apparently it's a mere 5C in Athens right now so that means it's prolly about 2-3C here. I may wake up to snow tomorrow....here's hoping!!

Snow in Greece must be a rare thing on the islands I would have imagined?

You're right, it doesn't snow often on the islands but Greece has a surprising number of mountains for such a small country and we have some really good ski resorts (not that I am into the sport at my age) and my sons go snowboarding quite often at a couple that are fairly near to here. In the greater Athens area, we usually get snow once every couple of years. Two years ago we got dumped on the middle of February and it stayed around for about 3 days. This was taken just up the street from where we live...
