goodmorning Troops,
hope you are all waking to a bright morn...

I'm in duck weather, well actually I don't think the ducks would survive these storms..it's also pretty bad for us people..
tropical storm has ravaged the island the last four days.. mon & tues were the worse but yesterday was the climax........and not in a nice way...!!!..
a lot of damage here we are more used to forest fire thru heat and dry hill forests,

sometimes we do get hit by extreemly strong tropicals storms

but this has been a royal humdinger.....

Is there no indication when the storms will pass? Are they due to get worse?

forecast is today we are still on orange alert, yesterday the north part of Teneife & Gran Can were on red alert, plus the lanzarote, La Palma hopefully it will decrease thru the day...!
was very spooky last night...plus we had an earthquake 10 days ago 3 or 4 on the richter..

it is really spooky here today...!

Gran Canaria - 22.01.2010 - Several northern towns, including Agaete and La Aldea, reported strange sensations underground around 9pm. The National Geographic Institute later confirmed that a minor 'quake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale had been detected in the sea between Gran Canaria and Tenerife. 18 years ago a much larger earthquake in the same area caused structural damage in high-rise buildings in Tenerife.
