doesn't sound like a fungus she has Jan - have you got a cream with an antihistamine in it?

LJ, Canestan is an antifungal, like Mycostatin, for Candida Albicans, a fungus.

If you have any cream that's called Quadriderm, or Lotiderm etc., that will probably do the trick! But try phoning the chemist and see what cortisone cream they recommend for dogs?

it says you can use calamine on itches - is the rash weeping?

It may help to trim a bit of the fur off around the rash too, although it may make taz look a bit odd.

If it's weepy you can put a cold wet teabag on the rash for about 5 mins a day the tannins will help dry it out.

no the sores don't weep, well I never get to see it open, I only see the dry scab..
but I have never noticed puss or weeping just scabs..

think I will try to shave her a bit tomorrow..she will look strange, but I want it to heal for her

let the air get to it and it may clean itself up, creams may just make it soggy.
