If AF is so much better, why is it so hard to stay stopped?

Welcome, Anotherday! This is my 3rd day, too and I have about 50 years of drinking and drugging behind me, too. There will always be reasons and excuses to drink, but like all good things, it takes time and hard work. Staying connected here is the answer! I have made so many friends here that truly care. Read all the posts you can and post everything you are going through and feeling, because there are plenty of experienced, encouraging people here that want to help you. Don't give up! Every day that you are sober makes you stronger. I have learned so much about myself and my triggers in the last 43 days and I am beginning to see the forest and not the trees and it is a beautiful place to be. Best of luck to you on your journey! We all love and want to help you.
I'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,
but I'm sure not who I used to be!

There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still.

"I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME." Phil 4:13

sick of being sick, hey, congrats on day 3! You sound like you are doing well.

I agree that staying connected here is super important. I am actually on day 4 and would not be without MWO.

Earlier I was thinking maybe I've been spending too much time here. But then I wonder if I'm not setting myself up to drink. I want to and I don't. Know what I mean?

Best of luck to you too on this journey.
