Army Thread 11th March
Good morning Folks.
I'm good to go again after a couple of weeks if the blues. (I'm generally good at staying happy, but now and then things seem to get a little odd)
I went shopping on Sunday and when I came back and tried to switch the TV on, there was nothing. I checked the phone; again zilch and my broadband was gone too. Someone had yanked my cable out of the wall outside and it's taken four days for the cable guy to come and fix it. I must admit to having enjoyed a few days without TV again. Reading and relaxing without that interminable drone going on in the background, though I did miss my internet. I've got a load of chess games that I play that involve one move every three days and I've lost all them because I didn't make a move but there are worse things that can happen.
Anyhoo, I hope you all have a good day and I'll be sending good vibes your way Starty.

Hi Pops great to see you again, I was wondering where you had gotten to. I used to play competition chess in a previous life. Never won anything but it was enjoyable.
Hello Jessie, busy is always good. I know exactly what you mean about it keeping us out of mischief. Boredom can be a trigger for many people to drink or over eat I imagine.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

I got through to round two of a tournament once. I do enjoy it though.

Life is going.
That is all there is.
My Daddy told me about a dear friend of his whose wife had died and left him with 3 children. He asked him, "How do you do it?"
His friend answered it, "What is the option?"
That is where I am.
