KT my friend that helped me declined lunch but wanted a cup of ice to take with for his scotch in the car. 11:30 AM. Brought back some old memories.

Some times having the same things pointed out by different people, especially ones that we respect can stop and make a person think I suppose. It has done me in other aspects of my life.

Yeah me too, just drinking/drugging is such a sensitive issue, I always felt very defensive about it....

I asked if he wanted a beer and that's when he asked for the cup of ice for scotch. I told him I bought the beer in case he wanted it but I didn't keep anything around since I quit drinking. (He knew - he just forgot). I told him drink just gets the better of me and I'm much happier not drinking at all. He said that was a very smart thing to do. I said it was, the smartest thing ever! It was sort of left at that.

Oh absolutely, dare not say anything to me about it or I would jump down your throat. Doesnt mean I didnt take notice of what was being said however.

Awwwh, I've missed out on so much around here! Since son has moved out, divorced, I've been SO busy with my girls. Love you all, ya know!

A little surprised you bought the beer, from the point of your having it around. Good that you are comfortable around it I suppose.
You never know, that guy could be looking for a friend like you to talk to about his drinking or maybe he thinks it is normal behavour to be drinking scotch at 11am.
Who really knows what goes on inside anothers head.
