was trying to find a tribute to St Patrick
JC - that's a very cute leprechaun you've got there. Wonder if Mario is going to treat us to something green for St. Pat's Day. Not that that huge smile isn't enough.
Hiya Tipperoo. Saw you posted on Tigger's thread. You're right, that lady tiger is quite lovely.
Where is Jan and her "little Green Bean" avatar? She got Ollie for the whole weekend, sleepover and all, if I remember correctly. Hope they had a splendid time. If you're lurking Jan, we want pictures!!!
Here's a few more shots from our visit to the zoo. Love the one of the giraffes but the photo of the gorilla just kills me. The young gorillas were making a gawd-awful racket chasing each other back and forth in their enclosure. Suddenly we spotted Papa Gorilla who had climbed up to sit on top of this pole which was about as high as a telephone pole. Poor bugger was just trying to get some peace and quiet....:H
Hope you all enjoy the pictures. Am off to walk the pooch in a bit. A great evening to you all.

LOVE the pics, SG. Looks like you were SO close to the animals! I need to take my babies to the zoo in Atlanta. We had a gorilla there names Willie B who became synomous with talking about anything to do with zoo, he was there so long. There is a statue of him there now that he's died. We also have the Cyclorama there, and it's a great thing to see.www.atlantacycloramasigpic

I've posted this photo so you can see how close you get to the animals. There is the fenced enclosure where the animals are then a strip of grass about 20-30 inches wide and then the walkway for the visitors which has railings on either side. So when the cats are walking around the edge of their enclosure, you're about a yard away from them. That's what's so wonderful about the zoo here. You get to see the animals from right up close...:jumpwow:
Am finally off to walk Freddoccino...
See you all tomorrow. :h
