Love these stories....especially the teabag string one.

I would have to say I never hid AL in strange places. I figured that if I didn't hide it, I didn't have a problem. :H

However, I did use the "magic bottle" trick. I used to have two bottles a night in the frigde - both open. One hidden in the vegtable trays and the other on show. I used to top up from the vegtable one first.

And I only used to top up when my husband was out of the room, so it "looked like" I was drinking slowly.

I have no doubt there are better ones out there, keep em coming!!! I think we all win because we can actually laugh at the insane stunts we have pulled. Dog food, wellies, the veggie drawer, under feminine products, cleaning cupboards, travel mugs.

I dare someone to ask someone they know who has never had a drinking problem what all of those things have in common. And then post about the bizarre look you get when you tell them with a straight face, "Places people I know keep their liquor".

I used to hide mine in my kick drum for my drum set. Always had a blanket or pillow over it so never changed the sound and no one EVER looked there. Also hid some on exposed air ducts in my water heater/furnace room.

I also once put water in an empty vodka bottle until I could go to the store and put it back so no one knew I had drank it all. Silly times.

I was laying here in bed ready to go to sleep and started reading this thread. I am laughing my head off. Yes - feminine hygiene products. Yes - mop bucket! Yes - wrap the bottles in the newspaper & very carefully place them in the middle of the trash can so they don't clink! Yes - visit the different stores so they don't think you have a problem! I was at one store buying a pint. They guy tells me - look - the 5th is on sale for $2.00 more. Well..... there was no way that I could smuggle that into the house. So, I just turned back to the guy and said oh thanks but that is just too much. Yeah right.:H:H

You guys are so creative. I only ever hid wine in an old briefcase I hardly ever use, but mostly I hid the empties. We have huge recycle bins now and I could slide them down under boxes etc once there was enough in there. I used to put them in grocery bags and park next to a rubbish bin in a shopping car park, then I'd pretend I'd been travelling and I was cleaning out my car. I'd throw out rubbish and plastic drink bottles and last but not least my shopping bag of empties, trying not to make them clink.

Yep, we're a real hoot here at MWO.
I frantically rushed around one morning trying to find the bottle I had so cleverly hidden the night before. Checked in the suitcase full of winter clothes in my closet - not there. In the washing machine, not there. Inside my sewing machine case, not there. In the drawer under my stove, not there. Finally discovered it lying in full sight on top of the china cabinet in the dining room

i hid two beers each in my dresser drawers by my bed so after hubs fell asleep I caould quietly reach over and keep drinking...mastered popping the tops off silently under the pillow....jeez...what a loser!!!'
also filled bottles with water so no one would know how much was missing!!!

I had 12 beer that seemed to last forever, cause I kept replacing one or two. Same with liquor, just kept filling up the bottle, replacing wine. And yes, this is embarrassing but I trust you guys; the empties that I couldn't recycle? They were put in bags and tossed up in the rafters of the garage to be hidden. Which reminds me, I have to get rid of those sometime... As for in the house, they were hidden on top of the heating ducts in the unfinished room in the basement, until the cat got up there one day and knocked one down on th efloor. luckily, I found it first!

I too filled bottles up with water to make them appear as though I didnt drink out of them!
