    HOW TRUE IS THIS

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.
The next morning while they are eating breakfast,
The young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.
"That laundry is not very clean", she said.
"She doesn't know how to wash correctly.
Perhaps she needs better laundry soap."

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.
Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,
The young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a
Nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:
"Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.
I wonder who taught her this.?"

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and
    Cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life. What we see when watching others
Depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

Yep Mario - you always come up with something for us to think about. Check out how dirty our windows are first and then look at the other guy's. Kinda like Michael Jackson's song "Man In The Mirror"...

                  HOW TRUE IS THIS

Thank you, Mario! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could see ourselves as others see us? Then we'd realize that they don't spend enough time looking at themselves. I've experienced this firsthand; a young woman in rehab with me spent her entire time trying to tear me down, aligning everyone else there against me. It almost drove me from treatment, until the counselors all gathered and forced me to see it wasn't even ABOUT me, but her. I am healthy, strong, and spent the weekend having fun with my grandchildren, while the last time I heard about her she was living on the streets, selling herself for drugs. I've told this before, and I feel no vindication in the end of our story, just a horrible lesson about looking too much at someone else's faults. It's a coping device to keep us from focusing on the work we need to do.
