I'm gonna have another bash at a baked cheese cake after the hideous gloppy mess I made last week.
I was at 'Cafe Strudel" yesterday standing at a counter to pay and they were serving up two fo the biggest slices of baked cheese cake I have ever seen!! I swear that cake was 6" tall!! I was almost tempted to sit back down and order myself a slice.

I'm regaining the trust of my children with my grandchildren. I see them or talk to one or more everyday now. Baby Gracie (6) is sick, came of yesterday without the meds I bought for her, I called son and told him to bring it to us, since he has them this weekend, and he hurried over. Grace tried to tell me she wasn't sick, but I know a sick child when I hold one, so I wrapped her up and held her like a babe til the meds worked (just Motrin for children). Told son he would have to be sure and have it in his cabinet now hes living away. Maddie's supposed to come back today and cook a (ta-da!) cheesecake with me today. Oldest grand (almost 17) and her friend came over to pick up some thong panties! YIKES! she had ordered when at my house. I told her I'd tried them on and they felt great. When she got here, I had a pair over my face like a surgical mask. Her friend cracked UP!

          Hello Peeps,

Bed time here in Australia. I'm a night owl - the NDTers are all in bed hours before me.

Lady Jan - I have kept up with your story and I admire how you're going with things now. I'm so happy that your baby is coming back to you. How old is he? My son is 10. We were at the beach today and he started playing with another boy. I kept back and kept an eye on them as the surf was big but I didn't want to intrude and embarass my son. When he saw me, he dragged me into the water to play with him and his new mate - Ollie! I was so happy that he still wanted to spend time with me.

It's coming upto Easter hols here too. 4 more days at school, then three weeks off. We're planning things already.

I'll bet you and your son have a HUGE list of stuff to do. Don't forget lots of kisses and cuddles - even if he wipes the kisses away!

          Spam xx

            Hello, All

Everything is quiet here. Mrs. T has taken the cubs to a fun fair in our neighboring town, Paarl.

I'm trying to prevent myself from taking a Nanna Nap...

                Hey, Mario

All seems pretty much set for the World Cup. The stadiums are ready, roadworks are nearing completion, the airports have been expanded etc etc etc.

Now we can just hope South Africa doesn't shoot itself in the foot...

Lazy Sundays are the best. I contemplated spreading some organic fertiliser I bought yesterday on the front lawn, but quickly put that thought out of my mind. Not at all difficult to do, though

I'm going to take a bit of a walk - its lovely outside now that the days are cooler. It'll keep me awake for now and help me to sleep better tonight.

                  See you later, Mario

Love that, Tips ('contemplating organic fertilizer'). Hubs has been working 12/7 since Feb, and he's had 3 days off now. I've not asked him to do a thing, though he forgets the house needs upkeep. I'll hire someone if he doesn't decide to do it; maybe tlrgs will come for a visit!! I'm trying to reset his cell phone password right now, while watching a show on the American Prairie, and the Prairie Dog and Bison. Fascinating, really!
