THE NEXT DAY THREAD - APRIL

    Hi Cindi!
You would be a great mum, and a great Grannie.

Was Ron in the roller blind caper? Feck! I was in the market for some too.
Sometimes, I wish I lived "over there."

You all have the greatest sense of humor (humour.)

We don't have any humor anymore over here in the USA. It is all serious now because we are struggling.

I do want to go trout fishing in New Zealand.

      Love,
      Cindi

Yep Cindi, as you astutely observe, i often have these folk's rolling in the aisles.
There is struggle everywhere, isn't there? The worst kind i think, can be the struggle within. While that goes on, it's hard to move forward in many way's. Getting off, and staying off the grog with a thankful, and grateful attitude within, is a really strong foundation to start with, i reckon. From that mind set, we really can do ANYTHING.

If you ever get to Australia, i'll take you fishing.

              G,

What kind and caring words you spoke.

If I get to Australia, I will ask you to take me fishing. :-)

              Cindi

ps. I like those "accordion pleated" blinds that take up very little space in the window but cover the window entirely when down. What do you call them?

I call them "Lowes or Home Depot" cheap.

Cindy - YES - the Roman blind.

I shouldn't have been so hasty in reporting Ron. Maybe he could have given us an MWO discount on all our blind drunk requirements.

Now how Strayan is that sound?! Kinda comforting in a sick way.

You're welcome Cindi. Just let me know if you're ever in town!

Please let me know you are okay. What forum's in France do you frequent, maybe we could catch up there?
Just a thought. It can be a cruel world out there, so just want you to know you have unconditional love and support here.

                          Is anyone out there?.......Ron 01? Blemm 04576? Mooushka 07?

Spamious, Bermondsey was pretty much untouched by development when i was there. There seemed to be a focus on the dockland's re-development back then, which i worked on, but some swanky aprtment's/conversions where starting to take off along the river near there too. I stayed in a well established squat on Arnold estate, near Druid st. if you know it? Some of the local's couldn't believe an Aussie was in their midst one night in a pub, and were convinced i was putting on the (strayan) accent!
Just looked at the map and got my bearings. Yep, I know the area a bit. Looks like you weren't too far from The Liliput Pub in Old Jamacia Road. I know that one but for other reasons.

Just looking at the street names brought back some memories! My mum's side of the family (going back to 1750 at least) are from Bermondsey so I recognise some of the street names from old documents. (Not drinking in the evenings has lead me onto ancestory.com and I have become an anorak! )

Hornos, it's okay. I'm sure Ron 01 knows the routine, and he wouldn't have any ill will against you. Still, it is sad. Here is a man, probably a simple, family man, pedalling his wares, without fuss or fanfare, just a quick,
unassuming harmless post, that's non threatening, not harrassing, and to the point. What do we care of this French farmer with 5 kid's, battling to save his farm, his dignity, his marriage, flogging his little blind's here.
He's just trying to make a buck like everyone else. I hope the moderator's can sleep tonight.
Good luck Ron 01. You are a dead set hero doing what you're doing for your family. The blokes kid's are probably exposed to all his vitriolic email's.
Ron 01, i hope you and your family, along with your mistress Mooushka 07, can retire to the south of France soon. You should be President mate.
