Lol! Good point.. I guess i'm too tired to watch a dvd now.. Masterchef is pretty crap this year.. and friday night is boring anyway as its cooking class night.. and watching that show makes me so darned hungry - its like watching Brad Pitt in a movie.. you can only look but not touch.. very frustrating! :H
But hey.. I cannot believe i've gone 4 whole days with a cigarette either! - perfect timing since they just taxed the hell out of them today..

Yeah, it's been a bit quiet without the boys but I'm pleased this thread is still around.

I want to come out of the Newbies Nest and one way of doing that is via our ODAT thread as my mates from the nest are there too.

I like it here as it's a time zone thing as well as having you experienced guys around.

Maybe, if you're feeling a bit obliged to post, you can just say "I'm OK until you hear otherwise." And then just post as and when. For me, it's still early days so I like to hang around but I can see it might become a bit tiresome if you've been around a while and have seen people come and go.

Bridge, what actually happened was I briefly woke up at about 6.30 am and accused him of not coming to bed and then he pointed out he came to bed when I was asleep and was currently getting ready for work and to take son to school. So I went back to sleep.

It's a family joke about how much I can sleep and what I can sleep through.

Hello Next Dayers,

I'm going to follow Katie B's lead and jump on here if I may.

I've not been here before but I did hear from Spam that it's a good thread for the Southern Hemisphere.

I too am suffering the "crap on TV nite" but for a whole different reason.
We have Satellite TV at my house (we cannot get signal on the normal channels)
and it's the last day of the month and we still have a 'Free, included in our package' pay to view movie to 'use or we lose it'
So the daughter has picked a very 'B' grade movie called 'Whippit'
The story as I understand it is a bunch of teen girls who roller skate and beat people up...
I think the real term is Roller Derby.
Riveting!!!

I'm pretty sure if I watch it for a few more minutes someone will Lose their virginity any second now.

it's a boring Friday night...but tomorrow.
Number 1 daughter and I have got a 'Leave pass' for the day and we're riding our horses all day.

Humour is what helped me when I first came to MWO. I sooooooo needed to laugh and I can't believe how hard I laughed at times - with faceless, cyber people.

There are heaps of serious, great threads - so imperative in one's early days of forum life. I like the nonsense, fun, irreverent nature of the threadians because I need to believe that whilst problems with the grog brought us together, there is much much more to the essence of 'us'.

Ugh Sleep.

Now your talking dirty Spam.

I am on medication to force sleep as I don't go naturally into a deep sleep ever.

I doze in that 1st phase of sleep never entering into the deeper (dream phase)

I have been sleeping well since I've been on it and my doctor has suggested that if I stay on it for 6 months it might educate my body to sleep naturally.

Previously a normal nite sleep for me was 4 hours and a bad nite was 2 hours.

I have never ever slept well or through the nite without waking a dozen or more times.

Just a weird ass HUH!!

I thought your advice was rather excellent - especially the getting myself a young lover. GCH is 17 years older than me and we have been together since I was 23 so I sometimes wonder about firm, young flesh....
