    Army Thread 6th April

ooh glad I didn't disappear too quick,
if you look hard enough you can see me at the bottom of the pool and that's my snazzy little sports car in the carpark (wondered where I'd left it)
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I see much silliness abounds this morning, long may it last.

Stirly what a lovely amenity to have all year round. I swim in a heated indoor 25 mtr pool with mostly glass walls and roof. It means I can watch the rain falling as I paddle up and down breast stroke and back stroke. Did I mention it rains in Ireland a lot? It is a wonder we havent grown gills.

Hi KTAB - I know... most pools are like that, that's why I adore this place. They have a sauna you can use and a small gym... all for the price of 60 euro a month... unlimited usage... and the surroundings are spectacular.... they have wedding receptions and baptisms there too - there is a little church - it's in one of the pics... this is where i hope my kids get married..... if they ever do...

Crikey... that much rain... no wonder your avatar is gray... not to mention it, except for the smile.... Mario's is not too colourful either...
You'd both love it here but I am dying to visit Ireland.. it's one of my dreams... just have to get over the claustrophobia so I can fly... didn't have that problem when I drank and flew... may have to drive to get there.....

The place I use is only a couple of years old and has, as well as the pool, which is spotless, a huge well equipped gym mostly empty, a sauna and steam room and my membership is E365 for the year off peak. But it does rain a lot here.

Stirly many many moons ago I traveled by train back from Athens to Dublin with many stops along the way. Albania looked 'interesting' but this was pre the fall of communism.

KTABMy sister and I took the "Magic Bus" from Athens to London - left Athens Wed am at 6:30 and we arrived at Heathrow just after noon on Sat - just in time to catch our flight back to Canada... not many stops and we slept on the bus due to lack of money for a hotel room. We'd already sold a pint of blood each in Athens to have enough money for the bus from the airport to home in Canada.... those were the days.... young and foolish.... ( now i'm still foolish, but old:H:H)
Does it rain much in Ireland....???

Hi Spuds.... good to see you - you had a birthday - happy birthday to you....Stirly....
