      Comp probs yesterday but here again now. Reading back thru thread makes very sobering reading. And very inspiring! I'm sure none of us would ever have chosen to hurt those we love, or be hurt by them. I think this is why I like the OneDayAt aTime approach. It helps me to focus on now. Because some of the past is like a horror movie, looking back makes it hard to imagine a peaceful, contented future. I know that constantly pressing the rewind button & dwelling does not change a thing. It is as it is.

      Hmmm, I'm kind of lost for words if I'm honest. Trying to get to something but not quite sure what, so I'll wait till it emerges... I know this though. I see more courage & love on this site in one day, than many people will ever know their entire lives. Each of us deserves to be well. Each of us deserves respect - mostly our own! And each of us in every moment of every day needs to make the best choice at hand, so that we move forward into the best possible future of all.

      I FINALLY saw what was important to me, and it wasn't in a bottle.

        Wonderful thoughts, Gold. Yes, hindsight is 20/20, but we can't change the past, only learn from it. We can't predict the future, only pray for it. It's TODAY we have to concentrate on, and, even if we don't change the world today, we can hope to live it with no regrets. When my children used to complain about things that had happened to them, I always said 'Nobody told us life would be fair.' It's not always, but it's OURS! Own your day, don't over think it, look for the little blessings, and never allow yourself to fall in the pity pit. I also told my children 'You choose the world you live in.' Unless you're in a prison, or a controlled state, we have choices, and today I choose to be happy, and sober. Little blessings sneak up on us, when we're not trying so hard.

          I've often wondered that. I think it's generally accepted that women are more likely to seek help and find it easier to comminucate. However, that's not a comment that is meant to offend all the lovely men we have on this site.

                    good morning one and all ... well my ass is in gear getting fueled up with coffee ..
                    cant start the day with out it .. well i could .. but dont want to ha..
                    welcome gold glad to have you aboard .. .. well yes its sunday so ther is no rest for me..still have have to clear out the garage.. think im going to start calling myself the junk man have to make room for a frid.. but hey it works an keeps everything cold and makes ice too .. and its a lime green.. one of the bonuses of clearing and cleaning out these houses that i work on ... well everyone enjoy your day big big hugs to one and all

                          when i went up north to visit my mom she had a old stove .. the color is baby blue and everything still work on is but i was cooking a turkey one year and press one wrong buttom and it didnt work untill i figure out whcil wrong butto i push which was the timer ..lol

                              Rubes....meant to tell you.....as we were coming back from the beach yesterday, we crossed over the bridge at St Augustine and saw a beautiful yacht named "GRITS"......I wondered if you were cruising down to see me with Rog, IAD, Cowgal, Vicky,Catch,SG,Spam and everyone else on board....
