Our pets hold a special place in our hearts and they are with us more than any human person. They also love us unconditionally. Tony, my first Rottie was a mix of AKC Rottweiler/AKC Newfoundland. I paid $50 for him, and he was the dog of a lifetime. He and Tay were the same age, and when they were 2, a neighbors Akita was here and it ran towards Tay. I thought it wanted to play, but like a bolt of lightening, Wolfie streaked towards him and chased him off our property. A few weeks later, the exact same scenario happed, and this time his owner called me, angry that Wolf had chewed it's ear.
Not long after, another neighbor was helping the Akita's owner with some trees, when it turned suddenly and attacked. The visiting one threw his arm up over his throat at the last second. It took over 50 stitches to close his arm, and the dog left 2 teeth in the man's bone. Not long after, he was destroyed. Only Wolf had sensed the danger, because without him the other dog would have killed our baby in minutes.
I travelled all over the state rescuing them. Someone asked Hubs once if I was a tough as him, and he told them any woman who would travel 200 miles, pick up an unknown, 160# Rottie, and bring it home alone, was not someone to trifle with!! I love them, and can't stand people letting animals breeding indescrimantely, when so many animals die each day in shelters because of human ignorance.
Sorry, I did it again. Another rant for one of my causes! :H

Ruby....My daughter (Who you know is studing to be a Vet.) Works at a Vet office while college lurks in the Fall ! ....she sees all kinds of things. Abuse, abandement, and just plain people leaving puppies and kittens on their door step ! It's a good thing that this Vet is in with the SPCA and sends their animals to them. IAD

My daughter is the Agriculture babe Ha ! She raised a lamb in here Frosh. year....Anything with animals....she is the queen ! Her Heart has always been with critters ! I'ld have a bunch of animals if my wife did'nt put her foot down ! ( Cause I'm very week when it comes to critters ! ha) And my daughter is "The Barn Goddess"...Ha!

Love it, Tony. Living in the woods, we've had dozens of animals, of every kind. As I've told you, daughter wanted to be a Vet, but decided to deliver babies instead. She brought home every cat, dog, horse, she ran across!

Good morning, my dear sweet family! Sunshine, I am so very sorry about Maggie! When I lose my Chloe, I will be devastated! She loves me to death and I can't bear the thought of living without her, but you have to focus on one day at a time and enjoy every day that you have with her and not worry about tomorrow. I know that is hard to do though. Congrats to you for turning to the m & m instead of the guiness! I am so proud of you and I am praying for both you and Maggie. Gold, I am so sorry about your mother. Enjoy your time with her and I pray that she recovers and I am praying for you, too, girl, that you can come through this one day at a time.
I AM A VERY HAPPY GIRL TODAY! MY KITCHEN IS ALL FINISHED AND IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL! Roger and Luke stayed up working on it until 1:30 in the morning! Then they get up early this morning! But PRAISE GOD I can cook and actually feed everyone today. Looks like they will be leaving Saturday to go to Ruby's. I hope they will relax and enjoy themselves for the next 2 days. I'm really thinking that Roger NEVER stops, NEver slows down! He's the true BIONIC MAN!!! I hope everyone has a GREAT day! Love you all so much! Vicki

Hubs has to go back in tonight at midnight, which means he'll a tired, sleepy, wank tomorrow. After 40 years, I'm getting used to him, but have demanded some changes in his temperament, or we'll be going to counselling, and he KNOWS I don't mind spilling it all. :H '
Trying to get everything in order and prepared to leave Sat. Hubs leaves Sunday for his school. He WON'T like me leaving him early, but tough titty said the kitty! This is MY plan!

No, GF. So much is conveyed through our words and tone. And yours are always warm and loving. I hope to never lose the beautiful people who have been here, supported me, put up with my trifles.
There are SO many causes out there I believe in, and so many here share my beliefs. The radicals just make a lot of noise, but the REAL people here care, love, and want all the best for everyone. We are the ones who are the background, the backbone, of this great country, and it's because of you I don't lose hope in the future for our children, grandchildren.
Two years ago, I found this place. I had wandered across my life, like a desert, before here. The people are wonderful, for the most part, and willing to share their struggles and lives with those of us who care. I can never put into words what Roger did by starting this. I KNOW it saved me. And finally, I had REAL friends, who accepted me, warts and all. The journey has been incredible. If I've helped ONE person, I'm happy. I second guess myself constantly, because that is my nature. But never the honesty, truth, you all bring here each day. And you all have brought me so much joy, and love. I never felt like I could be honest with people before, because they didn't understand my problems, and without having experienced them, they would forever be judgemental. Before MWO, I was SO afraid to let anyone really know me. And I'm still working on it, with the people in my life. They've not had to deal with what I have, so I have to be sure I KNOW me before I open up to them all.
My early life was full of secrets. I've learned not to blame the adults, who were dealing with their own problems. I was just a child, but I learned early to take care of myself, and my family, and try to keep everyone happy. Now, it's my time, and I've found my voice, will use it.
I'm trying not to apologize for dumping all this on ya'll, my beloved family. But I'm not asking for anything. Just trying to explain where I am on MY journey. It's a shame it's taken so long, but as long as I have breath, I can make a difference, like the one you ALL have made for me.
Hard not to say sorry for this long, difficult post. But you ALL are so important to me. Please call me up if I'm being fake, unreal, but it takes a while to undo the patterns of the past. It's important to me to be REAL. To be myself. And I hope you all still like me after that. We spend so much time pretending, trying to 'pass' for normal, whatever that is! :H
Sorry, feeling very reflective lately. Maybe it's so many losses, maybe it's gaining wisdom. But my biggest hope is that you all find your real path, your happy with what God has given you right now. Yesterday is past, tomorrow is unknown, so we have today. Make it the best one. I SO love you all. And you ARE my family.
