Would love too Rubes.......but it's hard when your broke all the time. ( I keep telling myself when the Kiddos leave things will get better ! Ha!) But..........I know deep in my soul that they will always have their hand out.......and good ole' Mon and Dad will bail them out ! Ha! My brother keeps trying to get me to go into business with him....but I keep telling him I don't have any extra capitol......he tells me, come on you don't need much.....I quess he'll get rich and I never will......he's always thinking ! He wants Stephen to go into Business with him....cause he's the only one that deals with his money like he knows what he's doing. My brother is not married and has no one to take over......( except for a pass indescretion of his youth, in which a child was involved.......the mother did not want him to have anything to do with the child. ( Mother was 25 he was 19) Just as well he's a hell of a nice guy, but would make a terrible husband and father. ha!) What's going on !! Here I am spilling out my families secrets ! Ha!

I'm in one of them moods.....! No one seems to be around......so I'll ramble on to the air ! Ha! Frustration.....it's one of those things that has a tendencie to grab a hold of you when you least expect it ! I worked for 35 years for Dept of Def......It meant something...I felt like I was making a difference....Retired now.I feel like I have no reason ....I'm just here ! I should be doing something else for our country.....yet I sit here doing nothing......Sure when I retired, I got a nice pin, a flag that was flown one day at NSA for me ! I also got a lot of other awards...ribbon for my part durning the Iraquie war. Just does'nt feel like I'm contributing ......just living of the fat of the land ! Just an old soldier that does'nt know what else to be...Ha! My thoughts.....IAD

Hi IAD - I am around too, but not sure what time you were here - I get so confused with the time on here and the actual time. Anyway I just got in from work. Himself was in the AF - when I first came to this site, someone asked me if I was AF and I was so surprised - I thought "how did they know my husband was military". so I answered 'Yes - how did you know?' Took a while before I finally twigged!! Anyway, if you are anything like him, it is very hard after being in, to be out. He has been out now for 15 years and he still doesn't know what to do with himself sometimes - he did get another job - at the P.O. Hates it, but it is a job. I empathize with you - what is NSA?

Sure is quiet here without Ruby isn't it? Where is everyone else? Grateful? bird? MB? Gold? I don't blame you for talking to the air Tony - maybe that is what I shall end up doing this evening. Anyway I only got in a while ago - need to go and sort the dog and some food.

Quite all right - you should hear Himself when he gets going! And I agree with you totally - chucked out with the rubbish. It was SO hard for Hubs - he had never known anything else and like you, he felt totally unappreciated. Civilian life is a while different ballgame!! Well, for what it is worth, I appreciate all that you did - and so do a couple who came up to me the other day in a car park - I was getting in the car and it has a military sticker for the base in the window and they came up and shook my hand and asked if it was me or hubs who was military - I said him - and they said to thank him (and me) for what he has done for our country! It gave me goosebumps - and that includes you too Tony! See - some folk appreciate you! It has given me goosebumps all over again and on that note now I am going to take Mags out for her bedtime ritual and then go to bed - work again tomorrow!! Usually have Sundays off - but have to work tomorrow.

Hey - are you doing Rog's Shout Out Sunday - he asked if one of us here would - I am hoping one of you will?

Hi all,
Wish I could come up to the cabin but broke till wednesday. Gotta pay my car insurance this month anyway. Been busy with the kids the past couple days, Rosie had her 1st paying gig with a string quartet and they played at a retirement home open house and it was fancy and catered food all over people walking around with platters of fish and shrimp and free booze but I didnt drink. Rosie made 50 bucks and very excited. Then went down to Tallahassee Fri night with the string teacher and we saw a performance of a string camp that one of her students was in didnt get home till midnight and tired all day yesterday back to normal now. Gotta go practice piano before the kids get up will try to get more caught up later the kids are goin to the movies this aft.......luv ya bird

Good morning Bird - it seems so quiet on here! You have been so busy - love your musical life! I have just walked Maggie and need to phone my mum in UK today (my usual Sunday). I work today which i don't like - I am usually off Sunday.

IAD-I am so sorry you had a bad night....I bet you that running out of your meds is the cause. I am on Effexor and I have let it run out before and could tell a difference right away....for me, I know that I am going to have to take it the rest of my life. I'm not ashamed....I know it is a chemical imbalance. With regard to your posts last night, I want to thank you for your service and am sorry you are feeling that way. But-you are now able to put yourself 100% into your family and others who need you. My husband was unemployed for over a year and he felt so worthless-but he was taking care of our home, he was spending more time with my son and doing things with him, helping his Mom & sisters - more than he could have if he had been working. He was still serving and helping others. I guess my point, is that you are still serving - you help so many here and I bet you are doing more with your family and for your family than you could have while you were working. So my friend, please put a smile on your face and know that you are important to so many - even people who have never "physically" met you but who look forward to your posts.

Sun-Sorry you have to work today. Hope it goes fast for you!

Bird-sounds like you & your kids are very talented! How wonderful that you all share a love for music-keeps the family together.
