I am going to make this happen!!

Hi all,
Dont think we are gonna make it to Rubes this time my kid goin to beach with her friend for 3 days plus I gotta pay my car insurance before the next $ rolls around. Goin to visit with a friend today who doesnt drink, we get together and chat occasionally, I do not have many friends as I dont hang with my old drinking buds anymore so am looking for new friends...SOS hope you are doing better that doesnt sound good. Sun that is good to ride bike to work. They would run me over here if I rode to work theres no bike path or even side of the road, just road and grass. I stick to the dirt roads haha. MB,IAD,Gold,Grateful,Biz everyone.....later on

Grateful, I'm here! Thank you so much of thinking of me. I've been busy with garden and kinda bummed out, but today is going to be a great day! Reggie, WELCOME to our little family! We are very close here and we always welcome new people into our group! Tell us more about yourself, day or night, we don't care.Maslow, I am so happy to see you back! Please tell us what happened in court and are you seeing your sweet little babies now? I know they have missed you terribly! Biz, I hope you have a great time with your son! He will notice you are not drinking even if he doesn't say anything. He will be so proud of you, just like we are. Bird, I am so sorry you can't go to Ruby's. I'm so glad you have sober friends. I remember when I first wanted to quit drinking, I thought if my husband would quit or if I had someone sober encouraging me, I could do it, and then praise God, I found this site and it has helped me get off alcohol! Sunshine, I know you enjoyed talking with Ruby! How are they doing and when the hell are they coming back? Did you tell them that WE MISS THEM TERRIBLY!! IAD, I loved the God sign and I am so happy you got your happy pills and feel better. I like what you said about not counting. Yesterday someone posted that I had 6 months sober and yes, it has been 6 months, but I have had a few slip-ups, so I didn't really feel like I deserved that! I don't count days. All I am focused on is today and today I will not drink! MB, so happy to see you doing okay, my dear friend! I love you so much, too. The last couplde of days, I have been feeling like maybe I talk about God too much and I certainly don't mean to offend anyone or cram God down anyone's throat and I definetly don't want to run anyone out of here, so I decided I would tone it down a bit. Then this morning I read a new thread by New Creation titled "christian support" and I was so excited! I gave my testimony and I really love the thread, if any of you want to look at it. Tony!!! being a staunch veggie, I shall not comment!! Oh folks - when I talk about riding my bike - I mean my motorcycle. Sorry to mislead.....anyway the temp is around 90 something with heat index of 108 but I MUST get out and mow the jungle that is forming outside!! I shall be back later.

sunny...motorcycle??? Way cool!!!!!!!
I am worried about my sweet hubby. He is unemployed (basically) and just told me his account is overdrawn. He seems so down...he's just sitting in his chair staring at the tv....
why do banks let you withdraw money that's not there and then wallop you with $35 charges??
when my son got his first bank account, he gleefully withdrew money and garnered almost $150 in overdraft charges. When I asked him what the hell he was doing, he said ,"Mom, the bank kept giving me money.......banks are damn thieves....
anyway...gonna cook Papa Bear a nice dinner and maybe he will feel better....

I'm so sorry Jan - I do know what you mean - hang in there - God only gives you as much as SHE thinks you can handle (sorry Vicki - couldn't resist!). Yes - motorcycle. I really really will post some pictures one of these days - I am off for three whole days next week and really will work it all out then! you can all see my bike.

Give hubby a nice meal and a hug. It won't make the problem go away but it will make it feel better for a while. Hang in.

I have to get back out now - have got 1/3 of the grass (grass/weeds/crab grass/whatever)mowed so need to get back out - even the dog won't come out with me and she always goes wherever I go! she isn't daft is she!!

thanks Sun......we will make it.....been married 19 years....if he can put up with my drunk butt or depression....I figure I can put up with being broke......it SUCKS...but we will survive....tough times for lots of folks right now....
