I can barely see my computer!:hateputer:Hope ya'll have a wonderful day and get your booty home tomorrow because we miss you terribly! :threekisses: MB, I hope you and hubby are feeling better and enjoying some rest and relaxation this weekend. Well, good morning! we have Bird, and Sobs, and Goldie - where is everyone else? Vicks - you can freeze peppers, that is what I do with mine when I have too many then I am so pleased later!! Figs? I had never thought about where figs came from...will have to google that - not that I even like them but never thought about them. Boiled peanuts? This gets stranger and stranger!!
Bird taking anyone shopping or going shopping is awful - I hate shopping for anything!! So I feel for you. Hopefully it will be over quickly! MB - how are you feeling today? i do hope that you are feeling better. Gold - I am enjoying my day off - I got up VERY late - unusual for me but it was nice... what sort of job do you do? How long will you be at your mums? How far is that from your home?

As for me my son got in from JYNC Boston confrence we all went dinner and I ordered club soda and felt good about it. Going down to One drink a day and got my Kudzu pills in the mail today hope they work!!!

Hi all....busy day today then a nice nap...it's SO hot here...I go outside and just wilt...
thanks for all your kind comments....we are just in a rough patch and I can't remember the last time we were this broke....but I am trying to keep a haapy spirit by pretending we are back in college when we live on ramen noodles and rice a roni....
Papa is perkier...he's grilling some kind of freezer meat he pulled out....we are sitting home tonite....that's ok...prolly just read or watch some mindless tv

Mama Bear Thanks for your words of encourgmrnt I to want to do 30 days AH free. Don't worry about money we are all broke The good Lord will provide you will prevaile. I remember the days of living on ramon noodels one egg and a slice of cheese twice a day and still had money for beer it was the 70s

Biz, I LOVE your faith! I'm so proud of you not drinking and I am sure your son noticed, too! It is awesome that you are down to one drink a day. We are here for you, so don't you hesitate to come here and bitch, scream, holler or cuss because we understand and know that alcohol is not the answer. I struggle with that demon everyday, but I choose not to drink this ONE day! I know that YOU CAN DO THIS! Sunshine, figs are a very sweet fruit and I make fig preserves by just boiling down the figs in water and sugar and they are so fine on a hot buttered biscuit! Please tell me you were kidding about never eating boiled peanuts? Those may be even better than watermelons! I hope you enjoyed your day off and will get to sleep in tomorrow, too. Gold, how are you doing? I've been praying that you find a job quick and can get back home. You are such a blessing to take care of your ma, but who's taking care of Goldie? Bird, I'm so happy you got to enjoy time with AF friends and I really admire how much time you spend with your kids. I can only imagine how much they love you! I'm with Sunshine though, I hate to shop! I keep a running walmart list and I go to town once a week, get in and get out as fast as possible! I order everything on line at Christmas! Seems like everyone is in and/or trying to be in good spirits which I enjoy seeing and reading. Another humid day here. Pretty boring one and actually frustrated feelings surfaced today. Been awhile since I have had to deal with those. The pity party sucks, but a new day begins tomorrow and hopefully it will all be gone by then.
Good--I will let Disney know Mimi is on the prowl. They must be communicating as he's trying to break out even more than usual ;-)

Good evening to all of you - time for bed for me - late tonight - that will teach me to lie in bed in the morning (a rarity for me).
Vicki - I have have never heard of, let alone eaten BOILED peanuts - sounds rather odd to me. figs - yes, and I am not too keen on them, but boiled peanuts?? Do you eat them hot or cold? I love peanut butter on apple and also Reese's peanut butter candy!
Good to hear you are all doing fine - albeit broke - but yes, we all did have money for the things that mattered at the time (so sad!!). MB - are you feeling any happier today? I do hope so.
Gold, Bizman, hope that your day went well for you - and that tomorrow is good too - Ruby comes back! IAD - you always find those funny pics! Maslow - sorry that you are down in the dumps - I know what you mean about the humidity too - it was so awful here today. I have to get up early tomorrow and water my poor plants first thing.
