The Journey begins here so get YOUR ASSES IN GEAR!!!!

The pics are lovely Ruby! I laughed at your hubs saying I wouldn't understand him! The bridge where people jump - please tell me they jump for fun?

The bathroom walls are painted - and have a slight texture which I wanted to get rid of so i could wall paper so i started sanding but it doesn't seem to be doing much - maybe I need a stronger (better?) grit sandpaper. I can take half the wall paper back - I have opened half of it. Just fancied wall paper as a change from plain old paint! I have to go out to get dog food today - maybe I will check it at home depot and ask there. they are always really helpful.

    Hugs, Sun xx
How simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....

Yes, it's for fun, unless they misjudge where the deep part is! :H It's on a busy highway, too, and on a sharp curve, so we hear lots of brakes screeching. They jump right next to the sign that says 'No Diving From Bridge'!

The hand signal Luke always uses means "I love you" and I think it is so sweet. Hope you don't mind, but I want to post this beautiful picture for all those who feel weak, depressed or lonely today. It's a beautiful image and a beautiful truth!

I'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,
but I'm sure not who I used to be!

There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still.

Thanks for the pic, SOS. You always have such inspiring thoughts.

So I wouldn't be totally ignorant of what my teen grands are into these days, I actuallly looked the gesture up. It means many things in many societies. Kids use it mostly today to say 'Rock On!'

                  Hello Friends!

I got a PM from SOS asking if I'd fallen off the planet. Thanks for the sweet e-mail, Vicki! :-)
Nope, I was on a fabulous vacation in Maine with my family. We had the BEST time! Lots of sun, lost 3 pounds, and truly enjoyed myself. Then, my laptop died. The last time that happened was because I spilled an enormous glass of wine all over the keyboard!

Mama, congratulations on your 7 day AF! WHOO WHOO! Ruby, I love your pics!

I don't have lots of time to write....I've had to use the FedEx Kinko's while I wait for a new laptop. Saying a warm HELLO from Montgomery, AL (99 degrees and climbing) to all my friends on this thread.

Tirgs, my ass is in gear and it is an AF day for me!

So long and stay cool, healthy, and happy. This is Rusty signing off!

hey sunshine try some 80 grit and then if that doesnt work ...sometimes it easyer just to add drywall mud over it and sand down to what you want to look like smooth ...like a skim coat

Hi T - I have tried 80 grit and it got rid of the raised bits but I tried a length of paper over the wall, and one can def. see that there is textured wall underneath - not dreadful or anything but I am trying to decide if it is worth it....def not going to try drywalling mud over it!!! That seems way too beyond my abilities and way too much work for a little bathroom to then hang wallpaper!! Thanks for the hints.

                          hugs, Sun xx

HELP! So sorry to turn on you like a dime, but that's me. I've been rationalizing in my mind about drinking. In fact, I am so tempted to call hubby right now and tell him to pick me up a bottle on his way home. Man, I would really blow my testimony and let him down and all of you, but the desire is so strong right now! It's not that I am craving alcohol, I am just in so much freaking pain, I can't bear it and alcohol completely numbs me out. I never experienced all this pain until I stopped driking. For some reason it is getting alot worse, too. I have a doctor appt Monday and I know he will just put me on more pills that I refuse to take, but maybe I should. I don't want to feel drugged up. I just don't want to hurt. My legs hurt so bad that I want to cut them off! I know I would feel horrible tomorrow if I drink, but just to have one night of NO pain is almost worth it!!! God, give me the strength...

Rusty, do you live in Montgomery? I LOVE that town!! When Hubs was there on business a couple of times we stayed in the hotel right in front of the old Train Station (my FIL was a cab driver there when he was young, drove Hank Williams Sr. around all the time looking for liquor stills! :H) I took 2 of my GD's once and we rode the city sightseeing bus all around, especially loved the historic houses in the little village. I bought an antique stained glass window there that is installed at the cabin over the stair landing. Hubs and I got lost there once tho, in a bombed out looking area on a one way dead end street! To say my little Beemer Roadster convertible was conspicuous is an understatement!! LOL

Goldie, hope to hear better news from you soon. You're in my prayers.

Vick, I have to take pain meds, and, as my doctor of 8 years tells me, I don't risk addiction because I only take enough to be able to cope, not to get 'high' or feel great. I know diabetic neuropathy is very painful, but take the doctor's advice, not AL (though I know JUST what you mean!) I became an alcoholic trying to cope with mine, and I'm sure it's not as bad as what you're going through. Cry, vent, let us hug you, kiss it and make it better, OK?:l
