Hi ! everyone.....been helping out my mother and sister today. Power washed the outside of my sister's house.....Cleaned out my mother's car...etc. Just got back. Bizman...right lot's of bad stuff' in that Chinese food...I'm Diabetic....got to watch my sugar ! Ruby...poor pooch...I know it's cramping her style not being able to run around outside ! Tired.....will hang out on the site for a bet....then go to bed. ( Big Fishing day tomorrow with Stephen......I'll be trying to get him up @ 5:00 am and then he'll probably ask me : "Are the fish up yet?" Ha! ) Tony

Oh Vicki - poor you!! I burn so easily and used to blister every year (you know, so I could tan!!). Oh gosh, that is going to make sleep even harder for you. Sorry about the meds being such a pain for you. You are having a bit of a hard time right now - to put it mildly! Tony - enjoy your fishing tomorrow and be careful!! As Vicki said, there seems to be so much going on right now - might be a better idea to stay in bed!! Dr Biz - yes, I will stick with Ibuprofen! Ruby - that is quite scary about the bears but as you said, we are encroaching on their territory! And then you get the Ditz's who feed them!! As Biz said - I enjoy your posts. How lovely for you seeing the deer too - I sometimes see deer when I walk Maggie and saw a mummy with 2 little ones a month or so ago - lovely!

IDA you are a trip!!! good morning everyone well last night almost was A dasaaster Wife got home and said I am hungry start cooking NBD as I do the cooking. As I am cooking she says oh honey I had a bad day and I have cramps would make me a vodka martine and of course I said no problem. Then she drank during dinner and after while I was cleaning up she wanted a dubble. I mean to tell you I could hae crashed and burned but with the Grace of God your Health Director sat there and drank club soda. Then when I went to bed she was out like a light I watched the ceiling fan counting the blades go round and round and when I did sleep I had bad dreams can't remember them but I bet it was about bears Thanks Ruby BUT I made through the night and that counts. I guess it is good training for when I am out socialy and people are drinking. Man it was tough. Vickie use lots of Alow on that burn and try to rest. Sunshine how is the foot today?? hope you are keeeping it up above your heart (brings down thw swelling) Tony hope you have a good catch. Still no post from NoraC that worries me. Vickie someone needs to be the director of this crazy lovable bunch cause I know I can't do alone you guys are the best. well off to appeal my taxes. Eneryone Have a great and safe day.

Biz-wow, I am so proud of you...that was a tough one. I'm not sure I could have been that strong-at least I might have gone away for a while or something. You are really, really doing great!!
I remember having nightmares for a long time after I stopped drinking....I believe this is a normal part of our healing process. Good luck on the tax appeal! I hope you have a great weekend in Galena-don't you get sunburnt!! :l

Morning all! Vick, I TOTALLY understand getting a bad burn! As a child, and teen, it happened to me regularly, because we rarely got to swim anywhere, and when we went to the beach, I played ALL day in the sun. I can remember lying in bed, with fans on me (and nothing else) while I suffered terribly with the burns and big blisters on my back. My legs burned once so badly they would actually draw up at night. Momma was actually more like a child than me, so I wasn't tenderly nursed back, but left to my own devices to suffer through it. I remember lots of blisters, aspirin, and trying to pour pickle juice on the burns, something I'd heard would help the burns.
Now that sounds like a cry for pity for my relationship with Momma, but it was what it was, and it made me who I am. She was very childlike. And she worked all the time, took in all the other children who crossed her path. I was expected to be helper, take care of myself and others, and it's part of me now.
Didn't mean to take a trip down memory lane! Just hope you are getting some rest and taking your meds so you'll be back to yourself soon. Drink LOTS of water, OK?
Well, Lord love a Duck! I better not get off on another tangent, huh! Have lots to do paperwork wise to be prepared next Friday when I go to court with a tenant. Did walk through of house my best tenant is leaving. VERY clean, but lots of structurally damage she didn't tell us about, so big bucks, no deposit return. Off to start the phone calls to strengthen my case.

I remember falling asleep once in the sun and got so burned I had to go to the emergency room!!!
Now I tan real easy and get pretty brown.....I am outside all weekend and love to doze on the dock.
Have a busy day...9 apartments moving in, so i have to go inspect them all before it gets too dang hot.

Another Friday upon us. Lets all be safe. Nothing broken and nothing burned. I will have my children this afternoon so got to get moving. No chocolate milk in the house which is expected and how dare I not have it. Yep, I am spoiling them ;-) Kidding, of course, it's something I want to do. Great to hear about your progress Biz. Good morning, my dear sweet family! Well, I feel so much better today after some sleep. Don't look like a lobster today, I just turned brown. I rarely burn because I'm out in the sun so much, but don't usually sleep in it. Today is gonna be a HOTT one so everyone stay cool and hydrated! My refrigerator will not hold one more pepper so I'm about to make and can alot of quarts of salsa.
Biz, your wife needs to make her own drinks! That is way too much temptation for you. I'm so proud of you not drinking? How many days is this? Today is 8 days AF for me. Sorry you still are not sleeping well. I hope you have a great weekend in Galena. STAY STRONG! MB, hope you survive in and out of this heat today. Drink lots of water and rest when you can. TGIF! Tony, I did not know you were a diabetic. How long now? Take good care of yourself so you won't have bad consequences of it. Hope you have a wonderful time fishing with Stephen. Making all my calls, lining up my current and past tenants (one is now a Major with the County Law Enforcement where this guy works) to send me, in their own words, their experience with us as landlords. Hope it's good. It's a terrible thing, really, when you try so hard to work with someone and they basically take a dump on you. I had to pay $101 to take him to court, and will have to pay the same to garnishee his wages, IF I get a settlement. We're closing in on $6000 in losses now, and trust me, I NEED that money!
So now I have 2 available, 3 BR/2 BA houses, in a storybook setting in the country, and will have to vet all the crazies, who want to move in with 15 people, their pitbulls, and chickens, and 'can we grow a garden??' which they NEVER do. I truly believe they start out with good intentions, but we all know where that road leads! No, I don't allow iguanas, exotic reptiles of any variety, (I don't care that you're boyfriend gave it to you for Valentines Day!). And NO, you cannot run a day care, escort service, or Harley repair shop there! (Yes, there ARE big tree limbs to put the chains over to hoist motors, but NO, you can't do that). You cannot shoot the deer off your front porch, raise every stray cat in the neighborhood, use one bedroom JUST for the gerbils!! And the 200 gallon saltwater fishtank is a definite NO! No, you cannot rent out rooms to your buddies, or park on the grass because it's closer and you don't have to mow as often. If you homeschool, they have to be YOUR children. You cannot set bear traps around the perimeter, or build a pig sty. The rent due date is NOT a suggestion. I don't care HOW many grandmothers you have who just died, and painting the panelling florescent green is NOT going to 'lighten up the place! Stuffing cotton wads and duct tape into the holes your son made in the screens and windows with his gun is NOT acceptable. And NO! You cannot line the windows with aluminum foil. Lighting fixtures should be where they started, not dangling by the wires, and NO, the floors should NOT sink when you walk. A steady flow of water behind your washer means a problem, not a little glitch, and when the appliances start to fall through the floor, it is about 3 weeks PAST the time to call me!
Whhoooo! I feel better. Anyone want to rent a house?
