        Im here but fading fast. Im on day 7 and have lost hope. The evenings just kill me. Im sad, grumpy and worthless. I cant see how i can keep going AF. HELP!

            Hi Pinkie hang on in there, think of the hangover that you really dont want tomorrow - what time are you on there, could you have a bath and go to bed with a good book, or munch on some treats :l
            Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

                So glad you have reached out for some support - the very act of reaching out takes courage which you obviously have. Sorry you feeling so blue at the moment. 7 days is a great achievement, very well done !!!
                I hope you can push through this phase & that you soon start to feel some relief & a real sense of acievement

                Your self awareness means you have identified your immediate needs. Strategies to help our recovery dont just fall into our laps though - we have to work hard at it & take proactive measures. Sounds like it might help you to get some powerful supportive actions IN place, now that al OUT of your daily routine?


                "Fading fast..." sounds like ur energy is low? I often will buy a good tonic from health food store to use in times of stress or if undernourished. Also a protein powder to make healthy shakes, as protein helps body make repairs

                "Evenings.." yes getting through these differently will take some learning to do. I'd suggest just do ANYTHING right now that will keep ur hands/mind occupied & introduce new habits. Could be something simple & inexpensive.Maybe do a really mammoth jigsaw while you listen to some talking books.. Or write out some inspiring quotes & poems while listening to soothing music.. Or come here to chat - it does get busy but you can grab someone for a private 121, just ask anyone u like the sounds of.... SHOUT it if you need to !! I find cleaning out kitchen & sorting cupboards very therapeutic! Takes very little thought & you actually see the results quickly. If you can clear out some clutter, you might just start to believe that you really are eliminating some of the chaos of the past. By making space & creating some order in your life, even in very small ways, you are opening the door again for...

                I would suggest you also quickly find out whether you have actual depression at the moment. Is your Doctor aware of your situation? Depression can be treated very successfully these days. And there is no reason to struggle unnecessarily.

                Please stay close to us all here. And use us as often & for as long as you need to.
                You can do this Angel & you are so worth it - we all are !!!

                          What a wonderful day! My daughter, who is very cautious with her children around me b/c of the past, after we all had lunch together let me take the.3 tornadoes while she and sil chilled out on a deckand had drinks, (they don't have any problems!). The kids and I went to a bear and reptile park, and had a blast! Jack talked a manager into draping a boa constrictor around his neck! Later we found there was a civil war reinactment going on,with horses and cannons. Happy Sober Grandma's Day!

                                I had my own memorial tonight, under a clear starry sky, for MaryAnne. I used the petals from the flowers she brought me. I thought of you all, and your comments while tossing those petals into the wind and the stream. I feel peace now. Thank you all for your support this week. Going home tomorrow.
