    i went to my wood turning class last night, i really enjoy it. one of the ladies invited me to her house to check out her garden (and steal some plants). in the past i would have made an excuse to avoid it or drink (a lemonade bottle in my bag with vodka in). im determined to go but i find this a really scary thing to do . shes a really interesting person and i would like to get to know her, im just not quite sure how to handle the situation. at least i can make an excuse to leave when i want. this is just another new exjperience to learn how to deal with sober and i know each time i do something it will make me stronger
    Today is the tomorrow i worried about yesterday and it turned out fine

        Oh, I thought I was REALLY clever in hiding mine too. Water bottles I refilled with vodka, resealed the caps. Filling up containers around my cabin with AL so I could reach it anywhere. Yes, sad, but now at least I can focus all that creativity elsewhere.

          you just have to make sure no one else takes a glug of your 'water' or 'lemonade'. needless to say that happened to me. fortunately is was my partner and he kinda knew what i was up to. so good not to have to worry about/plan these things.. chamomile tea looks just like white wine in a cup..... did i really fool anyone

            Hay my wife turned up with a half bottle of booze the other day in an old back pack I used to take to work.......one of my old ones that I forgot about . Ha! Sad that their are still old bombs hanging around the house. IAD

                      One last thing I haven't shared about the situation with my aunt; she inherited the family farm when my grandmother died, the farm that's been in my mother's family since white people settled here in the early 1800's. Though, out of the goodness of her heart, she gave sections of it back to each of her brothers and sisters, the old homeplace and a big part of the farm will now pass to her son, who has probably already contacted a real estate agent. Aunt Nina scraped by in her life, and fought to keep that place with her little income, but son has no interest, and he doesn't have a job, so it's an easy guess what will happen. Besides losing my aunt, I'm losing a part of my family history. Yes, it's just material things, but we have always been so close to the land my grandmother and her children, especially, loved. I will get over this loss, I know, with regrets, but the loss of my aunt is harder. OK, thanks for all your concern. I'm off to start my massive cooking project for Thursday. T, I know you'll chastise me for overdoing, but this last thing I HAVE to do for my aunt, in her honor.
                      I'm going to a birthday luncheon on Friday for my Daddy's oldest brother, who turns 82. He has the same medical problem as Daddy, and is scheduled for surgery next Tuesday, with a 50-50 chance of survival. These things happen as our big, extended families age, and it is a part of the circle of life.

                        Good morning, everyone! Raining here today. Plan to work on the pile on my desk. Ruby, hope you are doing well today. Prayers are with you and your family. Spuds, go and enjoy yourself! It is hard to get out in the world and socialize after we isolate ourselves while drinking, but it is a wonderful new experience. Can't wait to hear from Cowgal!
