            It is, a witch hunt really. Yesterday, another co-worker about his age who has been having heart problems and has years on the job, was told by a 25-y/o, inexperienced 'supervisor', that if he was absent again he would be put on disciplinary leave. WTF!!!!!!! We have become so politically correct the world is going to hell in a handbasket.

            PS: I've had something in my heel for about 2 weeks, and it's become so painful it's hard to walk. I've got an appoint with doc Thursday AM, so at least I'll be able to get all my cooking done today and tomorrow, go to the viewing tomorrow night, go in to have it x-rayed and hopefully removed Thurs AM, then to the funeral at 2, and serve the meal afterward. Then, the luncheon on Friday, and, (send prayers!) off to the cabin on Sat. Unfortunately, (and this sounds so selfish) if Uncle doesn't survive the surgery next Tues, I'll have to turn around and come right back home. Whew! Out of breath thinking about it all.

                well sounds like a lot going on .. and well all we can do is surive .. ruby just do your best and handle everything as it comes .. but one day at a time .. so do some great cooking like you do .. enjoy the company of family and friends and what ever happen with the land and things are sometime out of our control ..
                mb glad to hear you are feeling much better ..

                and well i had a good day working at sue sis house .. patch some holes clean and fix the dryer and will be putting up a new postbox sometime tomorrow and doing solar work .. so my day will a full ..
                and well everyone make sure your dryer is clean lent free it works better that way ..and dont block the dryer vent outside .. just something you need to know if you are a homeowner..lol

                  well got a full day here .. and time for me to get my ass in gear ..just want to say enjoy..
                  life has it ups and downs .. so let do our best .. to keep it positive ..from the passing of a family menber ,to seeing a baby being born ..
                  there are always doors closing and new ones opening ..
                  so thank god or your higher power for what you have now ..

                    Wow Rubes, felt dizzy just reading about your doings! All good things though - love, family, nourishment.. And healing your heel, hopefully! AND hopefully some time for rest & reflection. Fingers crossed for you.
                    T what a service you bring us, wise words on sobriety maintenance & home maintenance. Every home should have a resident Rog!

                    Well Gold land was fun yesterday. My ass was glued to my bed/office till way too late. But boy, once I get moving... I moved a plant in garden (sorry, prob not best timing..) Then, well I just couldn't stop digging!!! And just so you all know my garden is huge & has almost all gone to grass over 3 yrs. It's to be my recovery project. I dug & I dug & I dug. Felt like Forrest Gump when he went for a run... Only stopped when the sun went down. Have decided that once a day I will dig, come rain or shine. I need some distinctly new routines & anything which gets me physical will be new. Spent last 10 yrs on my ass doing you know what. So - off to get boots on & start new strawberry bed.

                        Sounds like my poor neglected garden, Gold. I'm off to get ready for the doc. Hubs told me to be sure and wash my feet, since I HATE to wear shoes. Bad habit, but I've got to break is. Almost stepped on a scorpion last night!!! Just what I need, huh??

                              Hi Everyone,
                              MR T.... Thanks for the tip on the dryer, but my kitchen to small to have a dryer in :upset: so i have not got to worry about that one, i let the launderette do that, plus it helps out on the bills Thank God the weather is looking good just love it when i can hang the clothes out on the line to dry.

                              GoodAs Gold..... good luck on the digging for Gold. Let us know if you find any !

                              Ruby.... glad that MA is having a ball of a time ! good for her.

                              Looking forward to next week got a week of work.... someone said to me today im a good role model at my group sessions, made me feel good but also surprise, but i said i also need them just as must and learn a lot from them as well, we maybe at different stages but we all in the same boat.
