                            Guys - really !!!
                            I disappear off into the garden for a day or 2 & look what happens...
                            People posting piccies instead of sleeping - Ruby's own version of 'Perverts R Us' - pooey pants flying around. No wonder the dog's hiding under the bed! Think T's right to get the whip out...
                            I had good dig on Saturday then to Godson's 7th birthday. Lovely energy kids have. One of older ones, 15 asked me if I had kids. I said 'Damn - knew there was something I forgot to do!'

                            Today raining so work on house. Building kitchen cupboards but bit wonky. More I tried to square them, wonkier they got. So left that & had a go at breakfast bar. Then 7pm drilling curfew so had to stop. Kitchen like a very untidy shed at the moment. Great fun!
                            Mulling over some emotional stuff. Had angry/upset letter from Mum about my last drunk a month ago. I know what I need to say but is not what she wants to hear. I dont want rehab. I AM recovering but it's not an exact science. And there are no guarantees... I hate causing her pain & her not trusting me. She's alone & like Vicky, in a lot of pain. My words just don't cut it any more though, so I try to be careful how I use them. My actions are the only real apology I can make. Being well. And that will take time.

                            Allowing people their hurt feelings about our drinking takes courage I think. (People we care about I mean, not the judgemental, ignorant, sanctimonious vultures we also sometimes have to face). We owe it to them to give them the time they need to lick their wounds, just as we need time to heal ourselves. Instead of feeling rejected or like failures, I hope we feel blessed that people care about us enough to be pissed off. And that we use that to strengthen our resolve.

                            Right. This week I HAVE 2 get my arse into gear job-wise, I've done great this last 2 weeks starting work again & working on my sleep routine - I am blessed with good sleep, thank God in his heaven. But only working 11hrs week & need 40... Someone out there must need a sprinkle of Gold dust...

                                Wow...how wise......knowing that those that are upset because they care..we know that, but it's good to see it in black and white
