    yep mama .. had to go check its been 2 years and 7 months and with every little up down and mary go around .. living life on lifes terms and believe me its well worth every minute .. just grab it and hold on tight its going to be a bumpy ride

      Glad 2 hear we're most of us resting up.
      Had great day messing in garden. Mimi totally ignored her drinking pool but neighbour's cat likes it! Making sushi 2nite for 1st time with housemate. Quite a few beer cravings today with the hot weather. Nibble on something whenever get them cos 9/10 times I'm hungry. Mum also told me can be body needing salt..
      Rubes I had similar experience to Taylor when very young & someone said her hubby would 'shoot me' when he got home... Like T I swear like a sailor but only in the right company. And these dear kids that get hollered at 24/7. No wonder self-esteem is such an issue 4 so many. And then we wonder why people turn to booze...

      Maslow - hope u can enjoy the niceness ur Pa brings & let the irritation slide some - parents sure know which buttons to push
      T glad u have work sorted 4 nxt week. Mimi wants 2 know who will be feeding Sammie?

        Whew!!!!!!!!!! Grace just left, with her dad. We had a great time, riding the Gator, picking flowers, YES! checking on the dead armadillo! My phone has rung constantly today, all my grands calling me, and though I'm already worn out, it is wonderful. SO great to be here for them, teach them things. There's nothing better than to be so loved by such wonderful little people. Grace took her G'grandmother for a hair raising Gator ride, then her Poppy, but she confides in me that besides her Daddy, she's so glad she has me. Her last words as she left were she would be back as soon as she can, but LORD! I need to breathe!! I am SO blessed when I have time with them, and with those others I love so much. How COULD I want to dull my senses when there is so much wonder in my life?
        Rog, GREAT! to have work, and a plan for a while. Yes, I know you got here just about a year before me, but I have to tell you man, especially after spending time with you in person, I truly believe you are an angel unawares.
        MB, there is no job more important or exhausting than taking care of teens. I just thank God I don't have to do it every day now, but it is SUCH important work.
        SOS, we do miss you when you're not here, but just knowing you're OK makes me happy. Yes, watching others is very enlightening about our previous actions. At least, when we have to clean up behind them, we can do it without a hangover. It's a good thing they didn't get in your house; they wouldn't have appreciated your hard work, and you'd have MORE cleaning to do. You'll have perfect memories of their behavior, and they will foggily remember how sweet and wonderful you were. Good Job!!
        Maslow, you are SO welcome to our little family. I've been all over this board, but this thread is my home. We've had great sadness, but such a wonderful feeling of togetherness here. I can't imagine living without my 'shifters'!
        Tony, you have family home, I would guess! Otherwise you would be rocking us with another bawdy thought (which I love you for!). And Catch, I hope you're having a good day, giving yourself some time, working on yourself. You are beautifully honest in your posts, and I believe you will find what you need through your work in therapy. You have us, as long as you need help, and I hope even when you feel strong you will remain with us. I love reading your posts.
        Goldie, we couldn't do without your wonderfully poetic posts. I can't think of one that didn't have a golden nugget in it to think about.
        Today I've forced Hubs to just sit, and rest. Not much has gotten done around here. But it's been a wonderful day, as he unwinds and I just do what needs to be done right now. Sorry for such a long post, but I felt I needed to give a special thank you to you all. You are SO much a part of my life. Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day, and I hear from you tomorrow. You know, I'm a granny, and I WORRY!!!

                One of the guys who works for Hubs makes these wooden bowls, and the whole group of guys presented it to Hubs yesterday as he was leaving work to thank him for being such a great boss. The bowl (wooden) is SUPERBLY beautiful, made of layers of wood. I told Hubs guys just don't do this kind of thing casually, this was a better honor than the upper eschalon has ever given him. It's GORGEOUS!

                        Mas, my parents are gone, and I greive over it every day, but Hubs parents live in a cottage behind us. I pray every day for God to grant me strength to bear my blessings! :H I understand that, in their mid 80's, there are going to be problems, but SHEESH!!! they are so different from my funny, loving parents. Anyway, the time is short, so do the best you can. It is really like raising another child. And DON'T let it make you drink!
