      Ruby, Welcome home and I LOVE your car! I'm so happy you had a nice time. Myra, yeah for you on the sober lunch and staying busy. That's the answer. Stay on the boards tonight to keep yourself busy. Have you tried chat? Great place to go when you WANT to drink. Someone is always there to help you through it. You can do it! It does save you lots of money. We were spending $20 every other day buying vodka. Now if I could get off these cigerettes, I would save $200 a month! The oil spill is devastating and they still can't stop it! Oh, what a day! Hubby been bitchin at me all day for stupid shit ??? Hopefully, he goes to bed early. It rained AGAIN all day. My garden is about to float away! It's so muddy, I can't do anything out there and the grass is taller than the plants! Forecast for rain every day next week, too. I hope everyone is enjoying their weather and has a great night. I love you all! Vicki

          OK, everyone seems to be busy today. Oh well, I'm gonna post a few pics from last week I enjoyed.
          Jack and Ry have a video game (I took it away til time for them to go home!! :H)

                Hi all,
                Well can finally get caught up after working all week. It is difficult to hang in there at work since I've beenaid off almost the whole last 1 1/2 year. So I just went in and did what I had to do each day and get out, home to the hammock and sleep sleep. Work drains me. Glad its Sat. and have a gig tonight at a coffee/guitar shop where my kids and their friends hang out so should be fun. Was out shopping yesterday and this little ol lady in a wheel chair says hi to me. I looked down and it was one of my ol drinkin buddies. She looked 75 but is only 57 or so. Has partied herself to almost death and is still drinking. Has cancer and not much longer to live I guess just said hell might as well continue to drink. Says she is coming over Sun. and get drunk with me except I don't think I want to. It was sad seeing her and hopefully a lesson for my kids on why not to get started, since she had aged so quickly from the last time they had seen her.......Well Ruby those were some mighty fine pics. I hate driving through ATL as well. Ended up coming home 441 last time we were up to Helen, just to avoid it. Yes SOS the oil spill is freaking awful and it is making me sick. Its hard to belive they cant fix it. Good for you and the treadmill Myra. Excersise really seems to cut the cravings. Time I would love to pick your pets fleas.haha. Gold I have tried knitting and yoga too. Seems helpful. T, IAD and MB, everyone..have a great day....bird

                  Bird, sounds like if your friend can't be a good example, she can be a horrible warning. She may drink anyway, but don't facilitate it, especially not for yourself. You have too many good things to live for. I'm off to get rid of my 'skunk look' hair color for tonight. Been WAY to long since I've been to me hairdresser!!

                      Just got back from a good bicycle ride and decided to tell my old pal I'm not gonna be home tomorrow. Dont wanna pop an antabuse unless I just have to. Figured why should I feel guilty about not letting her come over cuz shes dying? I havent hung out with her for years anyway.....feels like rain, I'm sweating buckets.

                          Hello all,
                          Supposed 2 b sunny-hot-hot here 2day but cloudy..warm tho. So I'm losing myself in the garden again...
                          Started sorting my shed which is great therapy - could barely walk in there. And lots of "Oh that's where that is" moments. Nice. Of course me being me went up there for one thing & then came back with 3 other things 2 get going on... Didn't hear back yet about interview, mildly frustrated but just trustin that it's all in the works... Left a message on Mum's phone - she's still silent. Hope she's doin ok. Again, I know things in motion, just doesn't feel like it right now...
                          Bird - great posts - glad ur putting you first. I like the distinction u made about ur relationship with ol drinking bud - the past has long gone & ur present is now. Sentimentality won't save her sadly. Pat on the back there girl ! I will make real efort to do some yoga this eve - may relax me 4 sleepin... Think will save knitting to be a Winter thing...
                          Ruby - fab photos ! Love the mill, always had a thing about them, the movement & the power & sound of water.
                          Right, gonna get this off cos comp screens flicking on & off...plus am switching internetty provider soon so no worries if I'm offline 4 few hours/days....
