Morning all!!!!!! Good sleep (Waking on my own is SOOOOO wonderful!) Hubs is out dipping the pool. He's SO proud of his bronze tan (I know, I know.......sun is bad). His facial hair has bleached white, and (when he keeps his pants on) he looks dignified. Oh, if people only knew his wicked little boy mind!
Hope everyone has a good start to the week. Going to watch the 'True Blood' I recorded last night so I could visit on chat. Lurkers, our welcome mat is out!!!!

Morning all,
Have not had the best weekend with old drinking buds keep coming over, well I'm gonna nip that in the bud or try to gracefully. Was fun once but not 3 days in a row. They like my yard out here in the country. They bring the dog and I have to round the chickens up and put them in coop and lock the cat in. Dog knocked over my little fence around the catnip plant and cat got in it next day and rolled around in it........welcome Sun and MG29. I have tried to become a vegetarian without success. The kids want hot dogs and tacos and chicken nuggets. Have cut alot of it out though. Meat doesnt smell very good these days unless its smothered in something. Rubes you dont look like a beached whale. You are lucky to get the girls in swimming suits, my kids don't like to be seen in one. Last time we went to the beack Holly refused to put hers on and wore jeans rolled up and a tshirt.....gotta get out for my walk and goto the laundrymat, running out of clothes.See you later....bird

well good morning yes i slept in this morning heheheheh.. ..well luke is up and now ready to start my day .. have a few things i can do ...to try and make some money before i leave and HEY i just told sue if she wants when she get back ..we can leave two days earlier and she said lets go for it ... well bird glad you are staying on your toes girl ....mama have a great day at work ..let me know if you want to be pick up on the way i can always make room for one more ...iad keep on trucking .. maslow i have to say great job on staying busy and keep in control ... and too one and all have a great day enjoy stay strong and keep shifting forward

Good morning all! I woke up ALONE and in a very quite house. Ahh...hubby gone shopping and is sending me pics on blackberry of showers. I told him he is in charge of the shower. I am more excited about my new kitchen floor! Roger, we will be gone Friday, was you planning on coming earlier than Sat? I can rearrange plans if so. I was up most of the night with pain. I am losing feelings in my hands and it really sucks! Don't know how I am going to hold a cigerette and a cup of coffee! Sunshine, it is so good to have you with us. Take care of yourself and keep your blood sugar under control. Over time high sugar damages all of the nerves in your body. I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for 48 years. OH, friends! You are so much a lifeline for me. I'm SORRY for my venting, bringing people down. Normally, I'm the greatest optimist in world. I LIVE for my progeny! Adore watching them evolve. I know I put too much emphasis on our Jack, but he's SO my Daddy! And I worshipped him. But all my babies are equal in my heart, and I tell them each I have a room there for each of them. Just that we never had a little boy, and what a magnificant little creature he is, SO many traits that DON'T come from his parents! I'm in awwwh of watching the past move in to the future.
Our little Ry, for all the horrors of his birth world, is a gentle little creature, loving all things sweet and beautiful. Hubs and I get chills thinking where he would be if we weren't in this time, this place, for him. And Jack adores him, watching over him constantly. Jack can't STAND a bully, even at 4, and will take on anyone, no matter their size or age, if they torment a smaller person. And his 'big' brother Ry is his charge, and he will protect him no matter what. Now, HE might push him off the piano stool, but no one else can!! :H
The only worries I have for AB is her body catching up with her mind, just like her Mama. At 3, she told me on a drive, with a sigh, 'My parents just treat me like a child!'
OK, back to preps for their visit. My excitement is uncontrollable!!! We've got watermelons, cantaloupe, ice cream plans, Wally World plans, on and on!. And I ALMOST lost this opportunity, because of the demons of AL. NOTHING is worse than losing them, and NOTHING is better than regaining their trust.
Enough about me. Your travels and travails are in my heart and mind constantly. Hubs is beginning to know you all through my constant references. Again, thank you for your support on Tony's thread. I've run into that person before, and it confirms my belief that conservatives have to be quieter, and accomplish their beliefs, while liberals go NUTZ if someone doesn't share their beliefs! We should all be free to have our different beliefs, and I don't challenge anyone who doesn't think like me, but I CAN take them on if they want a verbal battle.

Rubes...un named person on that thread is a nutbag...there i said it.....
anyway...Rog sweetheart thanks for the offer, but I can't make it this trip.....I have no vacation time at work yet, and my parents have a standing 4th of July cookout that my family and I are REQUIRED to be at. My parents (adopted, but Mom and Dad, none the less) live in Sea Island, Georgia and have about 200 people over every 4th. My family provides manual labor and bartending.....don't worry...i wont be drinking.....we have to get there 4 hours early and set up tents and ice down beers and clean house and yada yada yada,.......there is more than a little tension between Mom and I but we do it out of honor and respect. My boys complain every year, but I make them do it anyway. We sweat our butts off and then drive back down to Jax. (After we clean for several hours, while Mom socializes and sits inside and cools off.......)
I know I sound disrespectful and I suppose I am...but someday I'll tell you the history......
anyway...Rubes enjoy the pool, Rog...get to work.....Vicki baby I hope you find some relief and I am proud of Paul for letting you sleep.....

My father is a wealthy man. He worked hard and is a self made man. He received a full ride to HARVARD, of all places. He is a sweet, soft spoekn country boy from Powder Springs, GA.
My Mom, is a die hard liberal that believes is education. (She has a Masters in Early eD). I repsect her, but finally came to the realization that I don't really like her a few years ago. (I am gonna get struck by lightning for that one!!)
Anyway....Mom has spent lots of time and money helping African American teenagers get into college. She hauls them all ober the country, tutors, them, buys them clothes, furnishes their dorm rooms,etc.
I was adopted, which was a wonderful blessing for me, but Papa Bear says that all this "stuff" she does is because she is ashamed of being so wealthy. (Kind of like some Hollywood movie stars I suppose)
AS you, my true family know, we have been struggling financially for a few years now. I finally swallowed my pride about 6 months ago, and believe me it was hard, and asked Dad for some help or we would lose our home.
He said NO...that if we can't afford it we shouldn't be there...and can't we move into one of my apartments for free?????? HELLO>>>>>>>>they are low income and filled with scumbags.....
I COULD NOT BELIEVE that he expected his grandsons and his daughter to live in those conditions.
Papa Bear was livid, but never said anything, because he feels it's his duty to provide for his family.
The long winded point I am trying to make is that I believe Charity begins at home.....and it hurts that Mom does so much for these other kids, but won't help us.......
They think kids of their wealthy friends are all screwed up and money did it to them........
ok....just a little history....back to work...
