Awwwh, T, you're gonna be so spoiled on Vick's fresh veggies I will a let down! Hey Vick, send your extras with T! I peeled and cut up 2 fresh cut cantaloupe from a guy who drives to South GA each week and sells his produce on the side of the road here. Can't TELL you how wonderful they were! So juicy and flavorfull Grace could only eat only one half, instead of the usual whole melon.
MB, call in sick for T's trip, and hitch a ride! I promise to keep you busy, full, and not thinking about your troubles. Hubs and I were talking about selling everything (except my family land) and buying a house on Lake Burton. It would be a wonderful life, and I love the idea.
Ah, I've felt so blessed lately, and I apologize to all that I focus so much on me. I feel so deeply about everyones troubles, and I take nothing for granted. But we have seen very hard times too, and have no feeling of entitlement, as my family has fought all their lives to have some peace and safe harbour in their old age. I can't help what the liberals want, feel they deserve to give of our sweat to ones who haven't earned it. Not to wax philosphical, just my true feelings.
Anyway, love you all enormously! Hope you've had a good day. The kids call each other 'the cousins', and they will be together at 11 tomorrow morning. Can't wait!

Hi everyone! I am here! Just got in from work - I wasn't actually AT work today (well I was but wasn't supposed to be) but switched days off as our DM is coming in tomorrow so there was stuff I wanted to get sorted before he arrived!

I can't keep up with you lot - do any of you live near each other? Who has children/grandchildren - I know that Ruby does, and I am totally confused about Tirgs. Ruby - you say about your hubs working but that he is at home - that is confusing too. I do confuse easily though.......

Anyway I enjoy just listening to you all, whether or not I understand - I do need to go and feed the dog (a Sheltie called Maggie who is a sweetie) and get me something to drink (water!! - I am resisting still and would hate to give up 6 months AF!!!).

MB - I didn't mind you two venting the other day - I said to Ruby, I just go into hide mode!! It is all in good fun! Talk later....

Sunny, Hubs has worked for Southern Co. for 33 years. It was great till they got all 'politically correct', and over 50 white guys are hunted like foxes. If he's not on an 'outage' he pretty much can take off any time he wants. He's just such a BIG presence when he's home, and like I tell him, I've lived alone 30 years, practically. So, it takes some adjustment.
I have 2 grown children. Daughter and SIL live 2 hours from me with their 3 children, who are coming tomorrow. They are wonderful. Son lives 5 minutes away, recently divorced from the witch (with a b) from Hades. She's still trying to control him, when she can't control herself! They have 3 daughters together, and they're the ones here almost every day!
Hope this clears up some things about me, but if you have questions, ask away!

Seems like everyone is in or trying to be in good spirits. As am I. Staying busy and enjoying it. Garage is complete for the most part and now it is time to tackle the basement. ONe of those jobs of where in the world do I start and do I really want to start? Bit of a bummer today as it's my daughters 5th birthday and no time with her, but I hope she enojys her gifts and knows that we'll be together as soon as possible. Great weather and still a few hours of light left, so back out I go. Seems the crab grass has taken a liking to my yard this year--it must go. See you all soon!!

I'm completely destressed after a whole day by myself and even got alot done. Maslow, I thought you went to court today. I know you miss your daughter on her birthday, but she will be with you soon and I know they both are missing their Dad. Sunshine, I have 2 grown children. My son is 26 and married. My daughter is 24 and soon to be married. Both my kids and the rest of my family live about 2 hours away. Ruby, you are so right, that negative self talk of mine has got to go! Believe me, I'm alot nicer to me than I used to be, but I'm still a work in progress. I should have plenty of tomatoes to send with Roger for you. I'm actually growing watermelon and cantaloupe, but don't know if they will be ready or not. I'm gonna make Rog, Sue and Luke eat lots of veggies so I won't have to can while they are here. I wish you were coming with him, Ruby, and all of you. Somehow, we will keep you all updated, although we may be fighting over Paul's computer, since his is the only one in my house that works and oh, Roger, hope you got lots of patience because this internet service is s o s l o w ! MB - yes, I am still on the Topa but am titrating down - started about a week ago and would like to be off it within a month or so. Have you already started the Bac? Didn't the Topa agree with you? How is it going on the Bac?

I have decided I must try and work out how to put a picture or two or just anything on my computer. Maybe when i am off next I will play around and see if I can upload (download??) something. I tried putting a smiley face and all I got was a load of symbols!! So heaven help me putting a picture! Anyway, must do some ironing......got to have clothes for work tomorrow!!
