I have been away for a few days and while I don't always post I always read this thread. However, I came home and it is pages and pages of reading. So please let me know if I need to know anything special. Otherwise, please know I think of you all as my family at MWO. Wow hope you all feel the same about me!!!

Tony, why didn't you do the Hubs trick after vacuuming (plus he had to put LOTS of chemicals in yesterday to combat the heat!!)? He strips and falls over into the pool. Lots of uglies out there when he does!! :H
The girls all just left, with the popsickles I keep stocked and the last of the purple ice cream! Grace let me know she'd be back early tomorrow, so we could mix a new batch of another wonderful, unexpected, ice cream. Hubs goes back to work (THANK GAWD!!), and we (the dogs and me) might actually sleep in. The fridge is full of food, Hubs is watching the race with his cranky ass, and I had a nice long nap while he was out riding his Harley.
This heat is insufferable! I worry so about those with no access to relief from it. Even my dogs are panting in the shade, so they're coming in. I'd go out and round up all the elderly suffering from it if I could. Those that live in populated, high crime areas, can't always afford to keep air on, and are afraid to open their windows. I participate in every program I can for them, but they are SO proud and independent (and that makes me respect them even more!) they won't ask for help.
Look around you, friends. Even if someone doesn't ask for help, you can see where it's needed. When I was active in the church youth group, I took the pre-teens to visit an elderly lady, in a wheelchair, with no family. They became so rambunctious I shushed them, and she said 'No, let them play. It's the sounds of life'. When I said a prayer as we were leaving, and thanked God for leading us to a new friend, she broke down and wept, and I was so humbled by her. These are the little things we can do, and never really understand the impact that we've made. We go about our day, and never realize the few minutes we take can remind someone they are not invisible, and still valued.

Hi all,
Well took a couple days off been so darn hot and bought an old snare drun in the thrift store been working on will post pics when finished, keeps me busy but now need parts for it and broke. Gotta go to work tomorrow but not much to do is so slow. Will get only a few hours in but thats ok only need a few to get by. Kids are bored out of their skulls school starts the 9th. I cant wait been outside alot sleeping in the hammock. Planted some radishes and cat keeps digging them up and going poop and burying,maybe some will grow.....bird

I would of liked to have done that Ruby (Taking a dip all natural in the pool).......But I live in a Development......the shock of my Adonus body would of caused a lot of car accidents, injuries ..... etc. (You know ! So good to see you all checking in. I've been Miss Lazy today, hanging in the coolness inside, doctoring me dogs! They get hot spots every summer, and I have to stay on top of them. T, Gator is SUCH a happy camper with all those pounds of hair off him!
Tony, I always say if someone unexpected comes into my space and sees me swimming 'au naturale' they'll go blind! Serves them right, this is my place! :H
Hub's dog runs to me if he gets loud in his grouchiness. I've told him, if he wants to measure his mood, look at her. Absolutely the best barometer of his mood, and I can't and don't affect it. Trust me, most people run when he gets moody; I stare at him, and it drives him nuts til he puts his sweet face back on. Guess that's why the Lord put us together. I told him if I ever leave his life, I hope he marries a mean, non-cooking, Lady Wrestler!
We get what we get, guys, and I truly believe I'm the only woman that can tame this mad man. He must think so too. No complaints, he wouldn't dare abuse me, drinking or not. Just drives me NUTZ sometimes. About the time I get him straightened out, he has to go back to work, and gets screwed up again. Oh well, it's my life, and I have a good one. MY next husband will be rich, famous, and worship the ground I walk on!! :H
