Sunny, sit like your being prissy in a chair. Keep your right leg back, as far as possible, like a crossed ankle thing, with the right as far back as you can. Then don't think of it as being there. Only your left leg. Operate the pedals with the left, alternately, and keep it very slow. You only want to get there, not win speed records. Then practice, working only with your left foot. Otherwise, you're gonna be trapped, and I, especially out in the boon-docks, couldn't stand that. But remember, if you don't follow doctor's orders, it will never really heal, and you'll suffer for the rest of your life. Don't want to be dramatic, but listen to me on this one!! I now have a handicapped tag, and use a cane, which make me look doubly old!! Just trying to help you sis.!

I've been, but Hubs has not. He's been out cutting acres of grass, now is cutting ours. Will talk to him tonight (again) about letting me use one of lawnmowers and help him out. He's just too damn protective, and since I'm not drinking, this should work. I NEED to help him here, it's not fair. I used to cut it all, and weed eat, which I know I can't do anymore.
I feel like such a schlep, not keeping up what I've always done. We both need to be partners in this, and it all falls to him, except the mounds of paperwork. First thing I'm doing next week is putting some of this property on the block. Anyone want a minifarm? A VERY good price without real estate agents!!
I'm getting stronger, doing more of what I need my body needs, so it's time I get involved with the caretaking. Good hard work feels good! My MIL still gets out and uses a push mower regularly, making me feel even worse. (even though Hubs and I say we'll have to bury the mower with her!:H).
Thanks for listening to another rant. I HATE this part of aging, but I love so much more of it. Gotta put a lot of thought into writing my memoirs.
Again, thanks. I'm better than fine! have been deep-cleaning rooms today, will be getting rid of clutter. You guys are my sounding board, and I love you all. I'm always here for you, too!

Thanks Ruby - and Vicki - you are both so kind!!! I know you are here for us Ruby - I count on it. :-) Vicki and Rubes, I am going out with my daughter (she ended up having a nap and called me a few minutes ago to say she is finally on her way!!). We are going out then - I have been loafing around - Ruby, I might sort out a whole slew of paperwork - that's a good idea. and I would-love-a-mini-farm!!!!!!! Oh - would I ever. Trouble would be talking Hubs into it. That would be practically a dream for me!! He keeps on at us to move from where we are 'cos our property tax is so high. Thing is we would have to wait til he retired - another 2 or 3 years he reckons. He wanted us to move into a condo where they tell you what you can grow in your garden! I told him if he thought I could live like that, then after 29 years, he knows squat about me!! I would shrivel up and die without having my garden or an outside! I am thinking about going out tomorrow and sitting on my rear end, leg in a baggie, and pulling weeds! Have got to do something. Ruby - you vent all you want. First time you did that it scared me silly, but I am used to it now. LOL

just finished cooking a gourmet dinner called Chicken Marengo......it is so good and it's baking in the oven now...oldest son is at work and baby boy (all 235 lbs) of him is playing xbox. Hubs and I are ignoring each other cause we just had a huge fight....he can be such a critical, impatient asshole...and I just snapped....
I pawned a 50 dollar gold coin today with a beautiful diamond bezel and got some money today
asshole promises he will get it back for me....
matching emerald 10 carat bracelet and ring may be next.....I don't even care any more...it's just "stuff"..but I hate to lose money on it and pawn shops are a huge rip off. He told me more BMW's and Mercedes are pulling up to his shop everyday, and he has loaned more money this year than he ever has......maybe we are all in the wrong business...
Hope everyone has a peaceful evening..I was so mad at asshole that I almost went to the liquor store, but I took my bac instead...

Love that you found your avatars, and I LOVE Pooh.
I started yesterday making my own dogfood. My little ones gobbled it SO fast, and it will be so much cheaper, just more work. Now they are hanging on my heels! :H
As far as being in a 'restricted' neighborhood, Hubs and I looked at a very exclusive development near the cabin (remember, T?!). I told Hubs the first time they told him he couldn't cut a tree, there would be war! Couldn't do it, no matter how beautiful.
As far as a minifarm, with my property, and the ideas I have for low upkeep, maintenance, and high yield, I'd recommend it. (not necessaryily my place.) I have someone already looking. But as I told someone on chat last night (wish you all would join us around 9 PM EST) there is an easy steady income. Always looking for the 'green and easy' way to live. Hubs didn't say no about the lawnmower, so I may be facing danger any day!!
OK, 6 country acres, low taxes, minutes from the state highway and 45 minutes to Hartsfield International Airport, 3 BR/2 BA modular home with porches, bordering a county festival (annual) site, $129,000. County water, septic system, propane gas. Give it a thought before I call an agent! :H

Evening all and welcome Phoenix and Aussie. Very lazy day and proud of it. T--canoe looks great. Bird--great looking drum!!. Ruby--if I had the green, I would purchase the property and be there instantly!! Glad to see several posts to read back on--several laughs. Sun--I hope the leg/foot heals quickly. SOBS--the salsa must be fantastic!! Mama--stay strong--it will get better. I believe it each day for all of us (self included) and will continue to believe!! Going to continue being lazy, grill some food, and watch some baseball. Positive thoughts for all.

Hey there mas - glad all is well with you. Sounds like you enjoyed your day. We should be hearing from Rog to see how the canoe launch went!! MB - i am so sorry about your predicament - been there too - it is very hard. doesn't help when Hubs is being a pain either - but he is probably worried too. Ruby - about a year ago I started making my own dog food but Maggie wasn't too impressed with it!! I am really picky about what I feed her though - what are you putting in yours? Did you make up the recipe or find it in a book or on-line? I remember I got mine from a couple of books at the store. We had cats too then so I was making theirs as well. None of them were particularly impressed. If i am still up at 9.00 I will come to chat, but doubt that i will be up.

I need to tidy the kitchen and sort out my fridge too so am off for now - back later. love and hugs to all!
