Army Thread 27th April 2010
Mmmmm. The great disjointed thread...
Mrs. T and the cubs have just lft. The former rather grumpily. THey're off to go and watch "How to Tame a Dragon" (I think). As she walked away, Mrs. T was heard to say "When are you going to start fulfilling your fatherly duties and take them to the movies?"
I'm not sure. I might have just thought it, or I could have said it aloud: "I think they're old enough to be dropped off at the movies and collected afterward..."
***Shrugs and moves on to other thoughts***
.... mmmmmm
Can't think of another thought to express... This IS a family forum, after all...I'll do whatever it takes

Hey who knows what goes on inside a womans mind
She was thinking about a nanna nap. No two ways about it. I would have told her the movie theatre seats are supremely comfortable and it is nice and dark in there, but I decided to err on the side of caution...I'll do whatever it takes

Very wise move.
In my experience the movie compliant was probably to do with something entirely different. Did you forget to wash the windows or feed the cat or sommat?? Come on rack your brain there has to be something you forgot to do.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Dog. Now you have me worried!
But I've been a model husband today. I made the bed, I brought dirty dishes, cups and glasses from various places to the kitchen (I'm not allowed to pack the dishwasher), I've helped to pack away the ironed clothing, I popped out to grab something for lunch. I did the shopping for the stuff the cub needs for his camp tomorrow... I EVEN made my own coffee this morning (OK, OK, Mrs. T wasn't here, so I was forced to...)I'll do whatever it takes

On that note, I'm to take a short nanna nap so that I'm up and about before Mrs. T gets back from the movie. Duvet will be straightened, pillows plumped... no evidence of any relaxation...
There will even be signs of dinner-making in progress. A chicken defrosting. Potatoes with a knife next to them, some broccoli rinsed in the colander...
I'm becoming as good at faking "work" as I was faking sobriety... Question is, how good was I at doing that...I'll do whatever it takes
