    NEXT DAY THREAD... MAY!

OK Melbournites ... prepare for rain! After a gorgeous, sunny and warm morning - warm enough to shed the layers down to a singlet whilst digging some ground in prepartion for an order of orietal liliums to arrive - it's now raining steadily.

So - with all this talk of holidays, I shall now check what's available in Palm Cove in August because by the time August arrives I may be in serious need of some tropical R & R.

Aspy - where's our little neonate?

So - Missy - I guess a quick ocean swim's out of the question?

Can't believe how much I'm learning through hanging with you lot. I've just checked Bett's climate. I've been to Singers on brief stop-overs and was overwhelmed as soon as I got off the plane. It seems that Singers has no distinctive seasons, temps don't vary much between 22 and 34C and sometimes they achieve 100% relative humidity. You're right Betts, even playing pool would be a sweaty past-time.

Now to google NZ for a potential visit - north island or south? Hmmm. Missy ... whadyareckon?

After a couple of chilly days we managed to snaffle some of your Qld weather here. It's just lovely outside to-day. Not gonna send 'em back.
Ok, Raggsy, it's now gone 2pm and still no sunshine. You're being totally unsportsmanlike and it's just not cricket!

I am now wearing long trousers and if it gets any colder, I shall have to put underwear on.

                  Tawny,

I so should have 'heeded' your warning and trotted out to my car when you announced that rain was coming this way.

                  I did not.
Now I'm shutting down for the day and it's P***ing down out there and I've gotta walk to my car.

                  Oh Well.

That is just complete co-incidence. I had no idea it was on tonight! Actually, Vyvien was my total and utter hero! It was originally on when I was about 14 and I wasn't allowed to watch but my older brother used to video it for me and I used to watch it the next day. I have both series on DVD and my son loves it.

Ade Edmondson plays a doctor in a UK medical drama now and I think they should have named the character Vyvien.

                        HOORAY!!

I feel like a had a break through today.

Driving home from the office I was focused on putting on a pot of coffee and having a nice cup of brewed coffee when I sat down,

The break through is that usually on the drive home my total focus is pushing that 'yummy glass of wine' that I could have out of my head.

                        Feeling pretty happy about that,

It could have something to do with the fact that it is 'cold wet and sh**y' here tonight.

                          Hey Katie B,

Will be there from the 5th - 14th July,
have never been to Cairns really,
                          Passed through twice,
once on the way to and from Cape York (that was an amazing holiday/adventure)
and once for 2 nights at the end of a Motorbike Safari from Brisbane - Cairns.

So were really looking forward to being there with the only agenda being to relax and relax some more.

How long were you there for last time Katie.

What an interesting and informative day on the NDT!

I'd be up for a Sinny meet up in October - never been and have airmiles to use.

The Temp in Singers never really drops below 28c, any lower and we have to zip the chihauhua into her special fleece coat

Jacqrabbit - its great when your 'drinking thinking' is drowned out by 'non-drinking thinking'! Keep it up.

Well off for shower number 2, have dog walked and sweated and then jamesed and sweated. Too much info I know, but I'm in a sharing frame of mind.

Pan - thanks for the bird info, I've done some research and am looking for a hand reared pair, they will have a huge cage, and will hopefully be ok for some flying time every day. However, when we were training our rescue bat to fly he ended up stuck to the side of my face, so am a bit wary.....

I hope I sound chipper because I am, exercise endorphins I think

Hey, maybe we can post ourselves off on a world tour like Tigger.

I just cannot see Vyv as a doctor. Is the series on here? He'd have to be House on Heroin.
I cacked myself last week when he moved the wall of the house as the video recorder cord wasn't long enough to reach the wall socket!
