Lady Jan - sounds so exciting! but you are homesick? it must be beautiful there.. Tenerife is a very popular holiday spot from what i remember - im guessing you may be in the tourist industry, but you dont have to tell me if you dont want! when u going back to Pommie-land? ive not been back to the UK since 2006...

I don't miss it not one bit..

last went back 10 years ago.. for a week and hated it, couldn't wait to jump back on the plane and head south with the birds..

nobody smiles at eachother..if eyes catch gaze they quickly turn away and if you should dare to smile they look at you with suspicion ....!!

no not tourist industry.. had radio station.. house ,dance & trance full blast non stop..
but the licences were bought in and the politics of it were a nightmare so am now a translator english/spanish

Ah I fell furiously in lust with Dominique Portet about 22 years ago when he was visiting Coledale wine cellars. He and I have grown older and fatter, and he produced a great wines .. Domain Portet et al. I believe his vineyard was destroyed in last years fires. Are we talking the same stuff here?/ Why are we talking fine wines on a site for bloody alcoholics? It's enough to turn me to drink! LOL

Domaine Chanon is ltlle brother of Moet Chandon in France.

It's located in Healesville in the Yarra Valley

Sorry to change the mood but i dont know where else to post this as i dont want to start another thread.. but it was my son's birthday yesterday.. and not a single one of my friends or family got him a card, or present.. its so hurtful! i buy other people's kids presents when its their birthdays.. my poor son, having a mother that no-one cares about so much, they wont even get my child anything for his birthday! :upset: :upset: :upset: its enough to drive me to want to drink again...

Katie your are a parent me is too daughter above...we want everything for them your son is not poor he has your love he has everything in you stuff the rest!!!!! he needs you!!!! together you both have everything you need ....let the others wallow in petty games there is no greater joy than a mothers love for their child ( except when they paint the walls with the pumpkin risoto you tenderly made) ... celebrate that.closeness... the rest is embuggerance and TF has a cream for that and Ohh HAPPY MUMS DAY for tommorrow hope ya kids give you a set of generous bloomers

Thank you Reggie.. it just hurts when my son is my families only grand-son etc.. but my mother cares more about her horrible husband than her own daughter or only grand-son.. she is so selfish! it hurts.. but you are right.. the fact my son does have me means more than silly games and people's selfishness when it comes to present-buying.. i know its only gifts, but gifts show caring.. at least I got him lots of great presents.. i just worry that my son will think i am a freak for not being in touch or having any family.. he is my only family now..
