Spud in my experience it is a bit daunting at first but the thing that amazed me is nobody really gives a rats arse if we drink or not and those that do past comments invariably drink too much themselves. You will probably be surprised by two things, how little people drink and how boring drunk people are.
Maybe try and have a get away plan just in case. Would your friend who is driving leave early if needs be? Maybe sound her/him out on it first. You will be grand I reckon, dont worry.

Hey all..
I've no idea what goes on here.. but just thought I would pop in and say hi! i'm doing well; its sat night and im not drinking! feeling good.. im finally making it through another weekend AF.. which I managed a couple of months ago but had been slipping up the last few weekends.. hope everyone is having a good AF w/e so far,
