    For Those That Believe in a Higher Power

    My Best Friend/Soul Sister just had a Hysterectomy and came home earlier today. She lives many states away from me and I can't be with her. Something is wrong. Her husband has just rushed her to the hospital. Had to rush her to the hospital in town instead of the hospital where the procedure was done (an hour drive).
    Hopefully an 'air-lock' but thinking it's a blood clot in her chest. Please send up prayers/good thoughts.
    I met this woman on-line (weight loss group) probably 3 years ago and it feels like we have known each other forever. She is part of me. It is hard being so many thousands of miles away from each other but we visit each other every year. We chat daily & have our web cams. Our families know each other. We are just soul sisters. I am waiting for her husband to call me.
    Thanks for any prayers/good thoughts. They are needed right now.

              Thank you all. I just feel so helpless. I was going to fly out for her surgery. I talked to her & her husband. Since she is coming out here at the beginning of June, we decided not to waste my vacation. We would just spend it together while she was here.

                Just tried calling her husbands cell phone. No answer.
                So I'm just going to talk.....
                My husband and I have always loved The Thin Man movies. How funny that I just put that picture on my avatar today. We have always called each other Nick and Nora as our nicknames to each other. We have addressed our Christmas gifts to each other with Nick or Nora and then when we finally had our son, we had our Nicky, Jr.
                Anyway, I joined this weight loss group...Anne Collins and of course used my nickname NoraC. Well, this wonderful person joined named Nora.
                She started talking to me. So shocked to me someone else named Nora. I had to confess to her and tell her that's not my real name. We have been best friends ever since. I don't think that I have ever felt closer to anyone than I do to this person.

                      Just was able to call & get hold of her husband. They almost gave her the Iodine stuff for the scan that she is allergic to while he was out of the room. :upset:She was awake enough to hear that and tell them. Thank you for your prayers. You saved her. They are putting her in an ambulance & taking her back to the original hospital. Tom said that he feels so much more comfortable now.
                      They really don't think that it is a blood clot. They can't be sure until they can do the scan. Can't do that until they have the right equipment without the iodine.
                      They will keep me posted.........I will keep you posted.......Thank you for your prayers/thoughts.

                          Sunni -to be honest....it is pretty well a 'standard procedure'. My dear friend has certain problems that made it more difficult.

                            Thank you all. Please keep them coming. I just talked to her. It is a heart aneurysm. They are trying to find a hospital/specialist where they can transfer her. Looks like open heart surgery..........
