            Army Thread 7th May

Had a bit of a tiring day meself...(then again I am always tired, don't know why that is.....no matter how much sleep I get, I am always exhausted)

Anyway, my friends child is getting horribly bullied in school because of his weight....she is really upset and I spent the afternoon trying to help her....I think she just wanted to talk.
I tried in a roundabout way to bring up her addressing his weight problem and maybe doing something to try and help him in tat regard, not sure I got thru there tho..
It really must be horrible to have your child bullied and have to worry about it every day, he is a lovely litle lad and hides it from her...so she doesn't know the half of it.

Just a couple of hours each week, it's a simple program to give the kids a nudge to do different things rather than hanging round the streets. One of them is rock climbing but that's at the extreme end.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

he is quite overweight Fiona but to be honest it is his diet, he really eats crap and everything is fried....My kids tell me that he gets it all the way to school, in the yard and all the way home...he doesn't fight back and just takes it..my heart goes out to him.
                  Makes my blood boil.

Sounds great, you will have the kids in flitters laughing, you will be so good at this.

                          Oney darling,
Thats one of the types of children that are being helped, the overweight and being bullied because of it.

It's to show them that there's food outside Maccy D's.

God, he could do with something like that....My friend is big herself so maybe that is why she does not address the issue....I feel so sorry for him.
