It's the weekend! Any plans?

I have soccer training this evening. Fun.

Saturday:

Job interview, then sit around chewing nails and waiting for phone call (they're letting people know tomorrow evening).

Maybe watch a film in the evening, or read my book.

Sunday:

Soccer training. More Fun. (I don't really like soccer )

Rest of day depends on job situation, but if I don't have a job, then I'll lay around reading my book.

Prairie Home Companion!

I am going to the live Prairie Home Companion this Sunday which is coming to my very own dinky college town!! I've been a loyal fan of this radio show like FOREVER!! (for the un-initiated, it's frozen north USA humor - I grew up in Wisconsin and I think it's freakin' hysterical!!)

Plans for the weekend?

Tonight (Friday night):

Soccer training for a few hours


Saturday:

Helping with soccer training for a big group of 5 and 6 year olds in the morning
Food festival and a Ceili Mor (Irish trad dancing) in town so I'll probably head in to that for a while
Quiet evening


Sunday:

Not sure yet - try to avoid painting sitting room if at all possible, maybe go for a walk

Finish my new book which I have been waiting ages for!(Chuck Norris's follow up to The Strain).
Spend quality time with my daughter and make it our mission to make the perfect roast potato(Goose fat is the answer!)
Watch a film with the boys.
Be happy in my own skin.

How do you make roast potatoes? I melt butter and add same amount of olive oil, then coat par boiled spuds in this, add sea salt and whack in the oven. Whats the goose fat trick?!

Take the part boiled spuds, season as you said then rub goose fat over them. Rotaate in the oven and they make a pretty special roastie. The fat fluffs them up as well as giving the crispy outside(as long as you rotate them), where oil can seep staight in and make them pretty greasy. xx

I am just chilling with my son all weekend. he has a friend over tomorrow and sunday will be a few hours at the park, then bowling later on. Whatever happens I wont be drinking and will give my son all the attention he deserves.

Relaxing with the dog and a good book! Daughter will be at her dad's, but thanks to Antabuse, there's no chance this mom will be drinkin'!!!

Husband and children are off camping, so I am going to have a weekend to myself. There is a lot I need to go through so I hope to make best use of this time.
