    Plans for the Weekend?

I found a fun thing to do on Saturday. A local "historic" farm has all kinds of critters and antique equipment, but tomorrow is a big day because they also have an apple orchard and are pressing cider with a press that is reeeeeally old. Great cider though! And lots of kids running around and fun things to do.

And I'm taking my dog to the groomer before going to the farm. I really can't afford to spend money right now, but I'd so love to rip out the spent flowers and plant some early spring bulbs. I love tulips and daffodils and all that stuff! And all winter long, I can think about the blooms that are coming.

Tomorrow I am off early with some friends hillwalking so will need to be up and about making a sandwich or two to keep me going. It's peeing with rain tonight though so hope it stops or it'll be a wet day on the hills. That will take all day and in the evening I am making a pot of carrot and lentil soup, was going to do that tonight but can't be bothered now as I've been lurking too long here. Sunday my Mum is coming to stay for a couple of days so we are going off to a local Antiques & Crafts Fair, having lunch out and generally catching up.

I'm on holiday next week so really looking forward to simply relaxing and enjoying myself sober.

          Plans for the Weekend?

Today Saturday I am taking my beautiful loyal Staffy (Saffy) for a long walk by the river and into the bush (woods) Read the papers (searching for a new job) Do massage for an old client (keeping my hand/s in); mow lawns, clean leaves from gutters; cook nutritous for ungrateful teenagers (but I love em); read my new book (The Vitamin Cure for Alcoholism..by Dr. Abram Hoffer) love all of those molecular medicine pioneers...there therapies cured my son of schizophrenia. Watch T.V. fall asleep on couch, happy, peaceful and most importantly of all sober. Have a lovely weekend my friends. Love Saffx

            Plans for the Weekend?

Windy, chilly night here in New England. My kids are with their dad this weekend, so the plan tonight with fiance is to get the fireplace going for the first time this season and veg in front of it. Tomorrow I'll do errands and stuff around the house, and hopefully get a run in, then we have dinner with friends from church (a group of nonrelatives of various ages we got close to over the years that sort of glommed together into a family. I love these get-togethers; my actual relatives are pretty f*cked up). Sunday we're having some people we haven't seen in a while over for food and football.

My fiance's pretty social (total opposite of my ex-husband), and I'm not particularly, so the parade of activities can get me frazzled and anxious sometimes, but I suppose it's good for me. I'm able to work at home a lot, and that helps balance things out.

                  Plans for the Weekend?

                  Here we go again!

I have a FIVE day weekend coming up! Woot woot! I decided to take a few days off of work because I'm just "tired"!

I have a date with my couch and a few good books. That's my plan. It's supposed to rain here so I will light up the fireplace, get comfy on the couch with the dogs...and read

I may be scarce around the threads, but I'll check in now and then.

What does everyone else have planned?

Hey K9, Pride and Fluff~~I never check in here cuz I don't really do anything too exciting. I work 6 days a week and usually play the weekend by ear. A little catching up at home and a little laziness. This Sunday will be the same.
Have a great kidless holiday Pride! I'm envious too!

                            Plans for the Weekend?

                            Hmmm.... this weekend.

Well, tomorrow I am going to go and look at a prospective pooch for our family, with said family. Do some necessary grocery shopping. Get a couple of pumpkins to carve. (I am so behind here in the festivity set up this year). Then visit with my dad for a couple of hours.

Sunday, I am working. Thank DOG! Need the moola! Then take my daughter out tricker-or-treating for her very first time. She is 5 and is really excited about it. We have done 'community organized' activities the last two years. It should be fun! I bought her an X-tra LG bag for all of her loot. I also told her that she is not to accept tricks, and demand treats, if tricks are offered!

                            Have a great weekend all!

Arrggghhh!! I have dog bathing to do this weekend. The 15# and 4 1/2# aren't that difficult, but rasslin' that 135# Rottie in the tub is another story. Will prob have to take to my sickbed afterward!!
Of COURSE, I'll be sans Hubs, as he spends most of his time with his mistress, work. SOOoooo, if the weather is suitable, may rouse myself early enough to go spend his money at yard sales. Don't laugh - I've found some real treasures on the cheap! With all our antiques, one day my kids will be wealthy! :H
