I'm trying to give up smoking too.. I am chewing nicorette gum as I speak! :banana:
I'm going to be offline for a week in 2 days.. im going to really miss this place - its my lifeline!

SO...good luck Katie and :goodjob: on giving up... it's such a horrible addiction..
I used to on & off years ago
but stopped each time I fell pregnant but then slowly started again after..

but with Ollie I never restarted..thankfully

My smoking started the other way around.. I only started for the first time after having my son! my ex taught me how to smoke, i never knew how to inhale.. but now, i want to give up more than ever, being a nurse i have seen people with horrendous lung problems caused by years and years of smoking.. i dont want to end up like that! though i know thats the extreme - 40 packs a day for 40 years or something.. but its still a horrible habit, health problems or not!

Morning smokers and non smokers alike. Beautiful morning here except for my waking the house an hour early due to misreading the alarm clock. Hmm strange, that never happened when I was drinking.

Speaking of which, awful shock, had to sit down and compose myself. Thought for one horrible moment I was out of coffee beans but I found a bag in the back of the cupboard. Mmm that behaviour sounds vaguely familar.

You've made me mind up KT, I got a little bit of money for my birthday and I'm going to buy a new coffee machine. Just how many t-shirts does a girl need.

Coffee my first drink in the morning, a little bit different from a year ago.

There's a great place in town that you can choose your beans and they grind them there and then for you

Buy one which give you the option of using ground coffee or grinds the beans for you. They are not that expensive and the noise of beans grinding is great for waking up sleepy teenagers or hungover husbands in the morning if you leave the doors open
