Things are going very well and smoking just is not an option for me anymore, I can be around smokers now and feel nothing cept gratefulness that I don't have to do it anymore. I don't mean to sound smug by saying that but I really am so very grateful to myself for doing this and for giving myself this gift.

Yes please- i really need some support with this.. my job is so stressful, i always find myself "needing" to smoke during a shift of work (i am a nurse).. i am craving pretty badly right now - any words of wisdom anyone?!!!

Techie.. thanks, i do have some nicorette gum.. i will try that again - i think i have to finish my pack of cigs first though, i now only have 8 left.. it is too tempting having them around, though once they are gone, i will try my hardest to not buy anymore, and chew the gum instead.. i really want to give up!

Morning all!
Day 1 NF for me today! I just had some nicorette gum.. so I don't feel any cravings.. I have chucked out my ashtray and put away my lighters (to be used only for lighting candles from now on!!).. I am ready for this!

Thanks one2many.. I have been remembering what you said to me when i said i wanted to quit.. everything that cigs "does" for us is a myth! it does NOT make us feel relaxed.. they increase your heart rate etc.. its a scam! i am feeling strong, and it feels great so far, knowing i wont stink of cigs, and wont end up with a mouth like a cat's anus when im older! :H
