      DAY 3
What ever works for ya Niner. I quit for 59 days last year. Picked up again just because I could and haven't had the desire to quit again. I have reduced the amount I smoke and I roll my own now, which I actually enjoy more and I believe is healthier without the added chemicals in the filter. Guess I'm all about moderation and harm reduction to the core.

Oh I hear ya RC...I made such a big deal of quitting to my daughter and then I said to myself..."wait, I am the adult here, I can do what I want". So I started again and justified it to her that I've done so well with not drinking...blah, blah. Anyway, the first week is the hardest, and I'm right in the middle of it. Ugh.

I've tried many things, hypnosis, chewing carrots, holding pencils, chewing and holding licorice sticks(lol). I quit for most of my first pregnancy and the moment I left the hospital, fired up. Quit for 9 months after hypnosis. Figured I was not going to spend on smokes what I paid for the hypnosis. For me, a mind for my health and sheer determination seems to get the job done.

I had friend quit by taking a shower every time they had bad cravings. Sounded strange but they never picked up again! Whatever works! I truly believe the physical cravings are the easy part, it's the long term habit that haunts the mind. Hang in there. Keep busy!

oh dear. How did I get in here? Such a scary place to be....lol

I told my bf last week that I was going to quit smoking & will probably lay in bed for a week with withdrawals. One time I got down to 5 a day & got very ill. At that time my daughter was still at home & I had to function.

Good luck everybody. I'll be checking in. Hopefully I can muster up some motivation to join you.
