KT, have you ever used pineapple sage in your cooking?

Sure do. As a kid we had the typical 70s Irish fare of meat and two veg, one of which was spuds. We never had any exotic food in this country till the late 80s I reckon. I didnt even know what a bell peeper was when I first saw one or an aubergine or a corrgette, the list is endless. And at home we never used even chillies or garlic or coriander etc. I am making up for lost time I think. Plus I love cooking.

I've got 3 lovely plants I've been soaking to plant today. They grow HUGE here during the summer, then have those bright red plume flowers. I use the flowers sometimes to decorated a dish.

Their a tender sage with the faint scent of pineapple to the leaves. Wonderful when chopped, mixed with mayo, salt and pepper, and rubbed all over and in poultry. I rub it under the skin, too.
