    Hey, JC

We're in mid-year exam mode right now: lovely to have a little escape to MWO

The cubs will have a 6 or 7 week holiday starting a week before the WC starts.

But I must say the excitement is building... Cape Town is a hive of activity, and people are showing their patriotism with SA flags and Bafana Bafana shirts.

Grandson has been in emergency room. He's home, but on strong meds, and breaks my heart when he says 'I can't walk'. Lawd, I thought raising kids was hard.

Mrs. T has been given two 1/2 days extra leave, because games are played in CT

No. He feels good (on narcotic). Wants to go swimming. He is tough as nails. That's what kills me. (See my post #70)

They're tough little things, kids. Rubes.

Chicken pox was the only thing that floored my daughter when she was little, but the son and heir was out playing on his bike when he had it.

Eldest cub loves milking any little illness for all he's worth...

Problem is: when he's REALLY hurting, you don't always realise it at first.

Looking at how my mother-in-law is towards our kids, I can understand how you feel, Rubes.

Four hours ago he couldn't move without screaming. The hard thing now is keeping him down to rest, since the drug makes him feel well.

Its the weirdest thing: Tylenol-type painkillers with codeine do very little for me. It doesn't affect me and doesn't work very well.

Plain old aspirin does the trick, though.
