wanna, just wanna tell you about a guy i know. he was not allowed to see his kids... court order and all that. he was a heavy drinker at the time. he has been known to be dressed up as batman up the local town hall etc. he is now 4 years sober and has full access to his kids and is a very happy man. not sure how he went about it all but he is one of the lucky ones that it has turned out well for. good luck

It's so tragic to me when there are so many good moms struggling out there with deadbeat dads running from their responsibilities, and son married the most money-crazy, thankless :biatch: in the state (and it's a BG state!). She had a 5 br/3ba/2 kitchen house, no payments, new cars, healthy kids but still wanted more. And my son ALWAYS puts his girls first. He had his first date last weekend, borrowed my roadster. Hubs told him to put on 3 condoms before he left the house! :H:

Hi all.

Wanna, our lifestyles as drunks/addicts requires that it takes time before we are trusted by anyone. Family, friends, the "establishment."

I am so sorry you are not able to avail yourself of good legal representation due to making enough money to keep things going but not enough to live a normal life.

Some way of showing that you are sober now and capable of being responsible for being with your children is required by the courts. I am not sure how that is done.

I just hope it is doable.

We do have to pay a penalty for our past choices.

This one is huge.

I did not read back too far, either. I am lazy, but I think I got the gist of the conversation.

One thing I can say is, just do the next right thing. That is all we can do and it is the best thing to do.
