    Army Thread 22nd May

Hi morning everyone It's a gorgeous sunny day in bonny scotland too.

I got through a social evening last night as well. My mother in particular is nursing a sore head this morning. I'm so thankful to MWO

Actually, I must have either been disillusioned or the usual CT weather Gods have struck. All of a sudden there's cloud cover. Tztztzt... Cape Town, 4 seasons in a day they say.

Obviously you brittons have sent these clouds over here. Mind if I send them back?

What the friggin heck just happened?

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

          Morning Mrs D,

I'm just over the border in Northumberland, so I know how us northerners are slightly amazed when we see the sun (especially with a bit of heat)
It could be worse, I could be filing.

            Hello Army,

I just wanted to pop in and say hello.

In Dallas, it is warm and humid. Dallas, TX, USA.

It is 2:34 a.m. and I am winding down from a long day's work.

Hope all have a special day today.

            Love,

Yep it's a shock when that big yellow thing in the sky makes an appearance isn't it!

I'll probably go flop out in the garden and burn myself today like most other scots

Having lived in Germany many, many years ago, I can relate.

I recall that when the days were warm and there was sunshine, shops closed and people drove to autobahn rest stops and sunbathed.

It seemed odd at first and then it seemed brilliant.

                    Hi Cinders.

Mrs D the only time I burn is in the UK. I'm really careful when we go abroad.

We prolly think the our sun's not as strong as the rest of the world

BTW it's 25C in the shade and it's not 9am yet

77 F is an awesome temp.

I live in the deep south, USA. In July/August we usually get up close to 100 F (38 C) with humidity in the 80s and 90s. It is miserable.

I think it is why southerners (USA) are a tough breed. You have to be tough to live in that climate.

Jackie - so true - i'm so careful on holiday but at home you don't think you'll burn! silly.

cinders - wow that does sound hard to cope with 100 degrees and humidity. I'd probably faint. We went to vegas a few years ago and I ended up in bed in the hotel with dehydration because I wasn't drinking enough water.

                          Morning Stirly You're so colourful!
