The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Yip we have yo-yos here, makes life very easy when ever in europe now. Used to be very confusing with all the different currencies. Not that I get away at all these days.

I grew up in Germany. I tell you, the Euro coming in was the biggest rip off we've ever experienced. The Euro to DM was about 1:2, but what happened? IN case of readjusting prices now with the EUro tag they just about only swapped the currency sign. So all of a sudden most things where twice the price, especially in the hospitality sector, restaurants, etc.

Happened everywhere to some extent but I believe it has help keep prices down especially in mainland europe because it is clear who is trying the rip off.
Prices here are dropping for the last two years, but it is coming on the back of the biggest crash we ever had fueled by an insane property bubble and 2% interest rates. Now we have 13.5% unemployment and 50% of people in negative equity. The scenery is beautiful though, pity you cant eat it.

Ha. Yeah. You still have businesses going bust here like there's not tomorrow. Prices are unfortunately still only going one way. And that's up. Petrol prices had fallen quite a bit but they're almost restored to same levels as before the crash.

Ireland must be sooo beautiful especially this time of year?

Mmmmm... I don't think you want this particular little helper... He's complaining no end, but has only done the sidewalk sections... (we live on a corner property). Front and back garden remains...
