Hi Ruby, Hi Greenie!!
Shew guyz, had a serious senior moment now. Couldn't find some documents and thought I was losing my mind until thankfully I had it all figured out. I think I nearly had a heart attack. lol
Just needed to share that with someone.AF since 15th March 2010
The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

I have those moments several times a day, John. Not pleasant. I'm SOOOO wanting a normal life, which I haven't had in ages. WAY too many problems popping in every time I get a bit easy.sigpic

That happens, John, and it can get SO much worse. I know that for a fact from the friends I've lost this year to it. I get so involved in others and it sets us up for hurt sometimes. Glad you found this place to help you get yourself sorted out.sigpic

Yes, at this point you can recover. I learned the hard way though, this year, that there is a condition that is the ultimate result of alcoholism, and it causes brain death in places. I had a wonderful, loving, funny friend who is suffering from it now, and she will never be back. That's why we have to get a handle on it. And I lost another to suicide that was al related. Not to be a downer, but it's very important to understand the results of our actions.sigpic

Yeah. true. Look I'm a believer, something that a pastor once told me makes a lot of sense to me: God forgives, biology doesn't. We still have to deal with the consequences of our actions, right?! So i'm with you in what you're saying. The important things is to make a change and prevent further consequences. not everything is 100% reversable. It's tough to face sometimes though.
@Greenie, not really. There some good stuff that'll help?! Vitamins, or what?AF since 15th March 2010
