    Army thread 27th May

Actually this is more like it
    Draught beer (Guinness)
Serving Size: 1 pint (568 ml); Calories: 199, Total Fat: 0g, Carbs: 11g, Protein: 1g

So say ten pints in a big session followed by chips = a feckin lot of calories :boohoo:

Ny sister-in-law is VERY calorie concious, but she LUUURRVVEESS the tropical, exotic mixed drinks, especially Mud Slides. Go figure. And their 'party' group drinks a LOT.

            Haha.

Well, you've done well at least. I'm still carrying that barrel around in front of me

That's what, 3,000 calories just on the drinking job while you need what? a grown male about as much in energy the whole day to maintain weight?

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Well, if you balance it otherwise during the day, you might just cope I guess...

Yeah. Well, my main issue is I wouldn't eat, because it would curb my appetite for drinking in the first instance, and then towards the end of the session when it's nearly bed time go for the worst imaginable food in quantities, straight to bed to let all the rubbish leave it's trails on my wasteline.

I remember riding the exercise bike at the gym and according to the chart I had to ride like 45 minutes to burn off ONE beer.
